Pff, you think that's a long time? You must be new to mass torrent downloading. Plus if it were smaller it wouldn't be as good.
wait till you get to 8-50 gigabyte torrents then come complaining how there's one seeder and your getting 160kb a second.
and hows the scared platform (sorry for bothering you so much but i really need's it :mryellow: )

How about 240 GB torrents at 60kb/s?

@Tuna:
Hopefully Summer 2012. Possibly sooner and maybe a little later, it depends on how things go.

No, it's not that I'm new to it, it's just that I usually do all my downloading undercover, so 5 hours is a big span of time for my parents/sister to find out I'm downloading 3 gig's worth of stuff. I usually try to keep it under the 500mb mark. Otherwise things'll start to get out of hand. So not downloading it for now, maybe another day.

Alright, after assessing that3Dguy's rig, I've created a fully functioning rig of my own for Rayman:

And I'm sure everyone knows this one:

Original:

And here's a video I made showing the hand-rigging process (note that I did a better version after I made the video, so it's not the exact one you see in the pictures above):

Skip to about 3:40 if you're impatient.

However I do have one problem. That3Dguy, can you take a look at this question: http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?f=3 ... 69#p867169

on your version of Rayman getting ready to race, the only thing I can fault is the place where the top eyelids meet, it looks like a big blob of skin drooped down between his eyes. (Not criticism just friendly advice.)

Yup, that's actually a technical problem I'm having (see the link at the bottom of the post).

Rayfan, concerning your rigging problem, I believe you can individually select vertices to be affected by a bone. This may take a long time, but it will yield a good result. One of the 3DSMax Tutorials also discusses this. I did it myself on my one robot rig and it worked fine.

What you do is go to Vertex Level, I believe, and then select the amount of control the bone has over the vertex with one of the menus near the bottom of the scrollbar to the left. I'm sure this sounds quite confusing but it's been a long time since I've done it. Your best bet is checking out the rigging tutorials on the 3DSMaxHowTos channel on YouTube. They use a CAT rig system, but I believe it's the same principle when it comes to what vertices are controlled by what bone/CAT rig element.
Hope this helps you.

well what i like to do to get rid of that problem is build the bones around the mesh like this.

Nah I think I'm well off, I don't need a tut anymore.

The scared pad's done, I just can't upload anything because Mediafire and my email won't load. :pfff:

Well I tried to make it look as close as possible. :)

I've also made a few gibberish phrases for Rayman to say, as well as a little vocabulary guideline to add a small sense of language:

Du warra stjew
Du wabba dju wabbast
Gwillus a fee
cabbilla stron fa du
Luda brusta kinn
Djee madda stoah
Esstrue jill
Clam breonza
joely la fwabva navva
Shuh leeah fwee
Bimbat wabba styow
La vwanna dja kano mah ree

Du ----------------pronoun
Wabba -----------present/future verb
Wabbast ---------past verb
Nabba ------------negative
Stjew -------------do/doing/did/done
la -----------------article
Brusta ------------to know (positive)
Brustu ------------to know (negative)

Also this video:

And even newer than that video, Rayman's rigged brow:
