Re: Dreams about Rayman...
This isn't exactly lucid dreaming but I did have this really fun dream once, where me and a bunch of my friends were all (keep in mind this is when I was like, 7) transformers (me being the leader of course). (Firstly let me explain that in my school there are two sections, one section is for Kindergarten - Year 2 and the other section is Year 3 - Year 6.) So me and my transformer friends are walking around the school and we walk through the gate seperating the two sections of our school and we're instantly warped to the local shopping centre. Turns out the shopping centre is controlled by evil boy scouts in pink unfiroms, and they have super-power-like abilities. they overpower us and chuck us in this room that's sort of like the inside of a washing machine. Eventually we break out of there and start running down this narrow hallway. The alarms go off and the boy scouts are on our tails and just as they near us I wake up. Damnit mum! For a few days after that I kept trying to relive that dream because it had been really thrilling. I do this by repeating the dream over and over in my head before I go to sleep. Guess what? One night it works! I relive that dream and it's as vivid as ever!
I also used to have a this short dream where I'd be running down our driveway and a tiger would be chasing me. I'd run into the house and slam the door just as the tiger rams the door, and that'd be the end of the dream. I kept having this dream every few days for over a month! (This was when I was like 5 though.)

Re: Dreams about Rayman...
Paradox, that sounds more like an epic than a dream! Cool!
And beebs, that does sound thrilling - pink-clothed boyscouts overpowering Optimus Prime?! *shivers*
And I know what you mean about the repeating dream/nightmare thing. When I had nightmares when I was younger, they were always one of the four set stories:
1) Parents get abducted by giant moth (heck can freeze over before I understands what this one symbolises).
2) Drowning - either by speeding off the edge of a road and into a canal, or because of a jungle vine snapping when I rode it off the edge of a building (which I did for some reason).
3) At some point I was afraid of burial grounds -> Dreams about skeletons chasing me, graves themselves coming to life.
4) Volcano obliterating all in its wake.
And I can recall them all so lively because I had them so often... strange, that.

Re: Dreams about Rayman...
Recently I had this bizarre Rayman dream where he was in the Glade of Dreams where he was told by Ly to make this weapon to defeat the pirates out of a simple amount of parts he was supplied. Meanwhile Navi from Ocarina of Time kept distracting him by flying around his head saying 'HEY LOOK! HEY LISTEN!' continuously. As a result of the distraction, the final weapon was a completely useless bazooka of which when fired it pathetically launched a blob of garlic butter (and by launched I mean lamely fell to the ground
)
Very bizarre
. I have to admit the majority of confusion that followed when I woke up was the fact that the dream was that it was based on Rayman 2 when I don't play newer Rayman games frequently and the OOT reference, considering I've never played the game....
Very bizarre
Re: Dreams about Rayman...
Heh, I'm jealous of you guys. There's only one real dream I remember having.. when I was about 9 years old?
I was Rayman and apparently there was a some danger approaching the Glade. I ran to warn my friends about it but everyone were just sitting in some tall wooden table and sipping tea for the hell of it. (?) No one cared about my shouting and at some point Ly finally got fed up with me and told me to shut up and go away.
The dream pretty much ended after that, no idea what happened next but I guess everyone died. :'D
Not much else besides that.. I've had some characters making short cameos in some random places, but normally I see only dreams about things that worry me in real life. 8(

Re: Dreams about Rayman...
Most of my dreams on Rayman were fittingly nightmares about The Cave Of Bad Dreams.
Darn you Mini-Janos and your ability to consume Rayman if he got too close, darn you all.

Re: Dreams about Rayman...
I've had many dreams about playing Rayman Origins before it was released. In one of my dreams, I was living in a factory, and a cereal box arrived in the mail, and inside was a copy of RO. The most recent one I had, I was playing it, and their were these skeletal Stone Men, and I beat them up, and I was having so much fun, I played for days straight, then I said, 'I'm glad this isn't a dream!'
Then I woke up.
Then I woke up.

I love things like that. Somehow, unconciously, you keep track of things, arbitrarily random things too, and sometimes they come up again.Mr. Dark Thingamajig wrote:i didn't know wich date it was the day before, but my drean did
Re: Dreams about Rayman...
I remember having a couple of Rayman related dreams many years back.
One was a secret level in Rayman 3 (that means Rayman 3 graphics
) where Rayman has to enter a castle which has floating platforms.
And in the second one, I think I turned limbless. Lol.

NOOOOOOOO! (Darth Vader style)
Although i once dreamt that i was Andre at the end of Rayman 3 and when he (Rayman) stuck out his tongue there were miniature versions of Globox & Friends dancing to the Leek Spin but that doesn't count as a dream more of a nightmare... *Shudders*

Re: Dreams about Rayman...
Might be a little off-topic but I had a few dreams about RayPC over the last week.
First were two dreams about RayFan. In one, she died. ;_; Which is kind of morbid. ('specially as I'm pretty sure that about a year ago I had a dream where Dango died) In another...well, I can't remember it but it involved ScribbleNauts and hiding in people's closets. xD There was another dream I had a few days ago where...Stace was pregnant. o-o I don't quite know what triggered THAT one...
And finally, last night I had a dream where PC was holding a monthly fanfic competition (like SOTM but with fanfic prompts*), and I can't remember any entries but one, which I think was Haruka's but I can't be sure. Anyway, it was some oneshot where LacMac (pretty sure it was LacMac, and he was wearing a red version of Dib's shirt for some reason o-o) was trying to deliver some sort of message to someone (in the form of a scroll and everything xD) when suddenly he got ambushed by ninja Electoons that knocked him over, beat the crap out of him and then stole the scroll and ran away. xD He wasn't hurt but he was kind of confused and I don't blame him. Also Globox tied into it somehow; either he was the one that the message was intended for...or he sent the Electoons. xD
* Consider this idea, admins? It's an idea that I've had for a while now which is probly why I dreamt about it.

Re: Dreams about Rayman...
Oh, dear. I can see how Evil-Thingy's username and MDT's are going to confuse me more than is desirable.
I actually had a dream about Rayman the other day... it was dead weird. I've written it down somewhere, though I've seem to lost this place - I will get back to you should I find it.
EDIT:
Foundsems! I'd written it down in my trusty DSi.
So this is an exact quote from a monologue that was in the dream. It was being said by some stand-up comedian, hence the strange way of speech and little - inbetweens - that come in. While this voice was running, try to depict the situation that's being described - that's what I saw as I had the dream.
So there you go. A dream about a butcher's where they sell Rayman meat, mixed with some Nineteen Eighty-Four references and topped off with the most epic two-Euro coin that has never been in existance.
I liked having the dream as I felt I was somehow part of the audience of this non-funny comedian and it was an extraordinary experience. I like how there were childhood memories ingrained in this weird dream (for example, the way the boy counted the cash is something I used to do when I was like six years old; also, the butcher's was the very same one as that of my youngest years) as well as references to things I like now or have learnt about recently, such as Nineteen Eighty-Four and Dr Who.
For the rest, why did I share this? Because it's the first Rayman dream I've had ever since that one about the sea of Plums and I thought I'd share it - even if it references to Rayman only as a chopped up chunk of remnants of a hero.

Then rings ye alarm bell into reality. So there's this little ten-year old boy standing in front of the butcher's counter and the man sais "What d'ya want?"
The kid spots a piece of meat and sais proudly: "A small chunk of Rayman Revival meat, please." - 'Cause you're like ten and you don't know what's going on. So then the boy continues to speak, as he receives the bitesize piece - "'Cause who doesn't want to revive the best hero of all time, right?"
Then he looks at the piece of meat, shrugs and chucks it into his mouth.
*The comedian's audience laughs.*
He continues to buy what he came there for: a very spicy piece of Victory Meat. He then gives the man some cash, receives change, stares at the cash register's display showing what the cost of the purchase was - you can see the cogweels turning in his head - and then leaves as he discovers that by doing a calculation it was indeed the right amount of money. Then he walks outside, looks at the back side of a very special two-Euro coin and becomes quite intrigued. The coin depicts a man in a coat with a bow tie running away from robots shaped like a cone with stalk eyes on top. He is running towards the viewer. To the bottom-right hand corner is a police telephone box inlaid with the capitalised words 'DR. WHO'

Ok...
Humanity continues to intrigue me.
How do we come up with these wondrous things?
AND WHY,WHY DID I ALWAYS DREAM ABOUT SPIDERS AND WEBS AND STUFF THAT SCARES ME, WHHHHYYYY!
Thank goodness I do not have those dreams now, otherwise I would be at the threads of my sanity.

That's right. He would get his ass handed to him. Especially if they're Revolution Spiders and he doesn't have a single powerup yet.

Yeah I was actually going to comfort you but then I remembered that time when I was playing a Rayman 2 port that wasn't the PC version... but it was the dreaded version in which spiders are overlords against the weakling hero Rayman.Master4lyf1 wrote:Thanks! You're a great friend...
