I did that so it would be noticed.DesLife wrote:right, underlining a sentence automatically makes it sound like a very polite request.

I seriously thought you weren't like that. I thought you were a smart atheist. EVERYthing is wrong in this dialogue!!! It's based on terrifyingly wrong interpretations of the bible and a culture based on Christianity. Again, if you want, I will count all the ways in which this dialogue is moronic. I mean, this is pure gross ignorance at its highest concentration levels.RayTunes wrote:Allow me to give you an example:

I'm certainly not the smartest around here.iambored2006 wrote: I seriously thought you weren't like that. I thought you were a smart atheist. EVERYthing is wrong in this dialogue!!! What has that got to do with anything? You boldly claim that all Atheists (a few hundred million people or so, it's hard to estimate, in total) will never understand this concept of spirituality you're talking about. If you can't give any reasons for this statement, your claim is worthless. Whether I, being only one of those X hundred million, understand spirituality at the present time, cannot possibly validate your statement. I therefore ask you again: Why can't we understand it? Either give me reasons or concede that you are wrong.iambored2006 wrote:Well, do you?Tobbe wrote:Why can't we understand it? Like Hunch said, you don't have to believe something to understand it.iambored2006 wrote: And when I say that as an atheist you can't understand it, I don't mean that I'm smarter or something. I simply mean that religious people can understand other religious people from other religions to some extent.

I know for a fact that I did believe, remember about a year and a half ago Tobbe when I became an Atheist? My breaking point was when you brought up the laws of thermodynamics.Tobbe wrote:What has that got to do with anything? To answer your question: I kinda think that I do understand this vaguely defined concept you are talking about, but I'm not completely sure, and neither do I care very much.

RayTunes, he's not talking about Christianity. You're talking about Christianity. Something here doesn't match up.RayTunes wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95hH1H5qK08
No, you didn't. You said he wouldn't understand because he is an Atheist, thereby implying that you have a reason to believe that Atheists can't understand spirituality. Now you attempt to squirm away from defending your posistion. I suspect this is because you have no defense. It's up to you to convince me otherwise.iambored2006 wrote:How can I be wrong? Raytunes stated that he doesn't think they believe, I said I understand them as a believer and therefore think they do believe, and so I said he wouldn't understand it. There is no right or wrong in this situation.

I have a defense, but I have gone mad with rage, so you'll have to excuse me until at least tomorrow morning.Tobbe wrote:No, you didn't.
