On the other hand I had superior marks to the others in all the other subjects.

I'm quite a failure in Math. Besides that i'm mostly 8 out of 10. Believe it or not, but getting a high grade is much easier in the US.
EDIT:
Yes! I just checked and my grade for Math has changed to an 8!
