It was concerning a different matter, and it was long before the conversation started.
That ban was deserved, now stop complaining at once.

Oh god indeed.

Why are you so awful at quoting things? You lost two whole posts in there but kept the quote lines. :? You've done it like five times in the last few days.

Coincidence I suppose. Or the overdoses of Coldplay music.

Yes it is, and no you can't reduce colonisation to the ruining of other countries. While Europe has taken advantage of its colonies and took possession of some of their riches, often to their detriment, it has also brought huge progress to those countries which wouldn't be anywhere as advanced as they are now without colonisation.

No it hasn't. You haven't replied to my arguments against your remark and you aren't bringing any to support it, so I do not know what to add. :|

I haven't found any sources to support your affirmation on Hinduism, could you please post one?

I wasn't only talking about the more "recent" colonies, though they did also have a destructive effect. Take the opium wars for example. They practically destroyed China! China has produced many inventions whose credit has been robbed by Europe. And the Arabs have given this world mathematics! You can't deny all those great things! Some countries were advanced until Europeans came, like ancient Egypt. Egypt was the most advanced civilisation of its time in many ways!

If you can't see how Islam has affected the world, then you are blind with ridiculous patriotism to a barbaric idol. I just can't understand how you can deny the fact that Islam has brought this world amazing things!

Actually, I found out about this one by actually asking the source- I talked with a lot of people in India who said that they are Monotheists. My family's driver, a hotel owner, a hotel employee, a random guy I befriended in some town, all of them Hinduists who claim to be monotheists. I seem to remember reading about this in a book I got my hands on afterwards, but don't quote me on that.

On a side note, I came across two books in the past week which define Scandinavia's history before 800-1000 AD as prehistory.

I agree, what happened to the World Trade Centre was pretty amazing indeed.

Hinduists indeed claim to be monotheists. What - for me - sets the difference between Christianity and Hinduism in this case is that they take completely different definitions of unity of God. In Christianity, God is claimed to be of three "persons" with roughly same "attitude", and in Hinduism God is understood to be changing all the time, like basically everything there.

Ironic claim of doubt of monotheism of Muslims is weird though.

Amazing. You seem so smart on the outside, and you are indeed very intelligent, which is exactly why I can't understand why you, spiral, would say such a stupid thing. Of course Islam today looks terrible, but that's (partially, some of the fault lies in Shia Muslims) because of western culture.

Through how you phrased it, Hinduism is obviously the more monotheistic of the two. BTW, are you Christian?
I didn't understand what you said underneath, but claiming that Islam isn't monotheistic is indeed ridiculous. I mean, to become a Muslim you have to say this line three times- "There is no god besides Allah and Muhammad is the prophet of Allah". Maimonides said that Jews can convert to Islam if they are forced to, but if they are forced to become Christians, they should kill themselves, because Christianity is considered "Avoda Zara" in Judaism (generally translated as paganism).

And of course Christianity looks bad today because of Eastern culture. Buh. Over here we have jokingly obvious stereotypes. Over in the East you're taught to hate the West. I'm not talking about you in general perhaps, but you can see that it's somehow ironic.

I have one more question, why do you love America if you hate Europe? What has America done more beneficially than Europe? They're both amazing bands: Europe having The Final Countdown and America having Horse With No Name.

The way in which you equate your own socio-political views with objective intelligence is rather naïve, not to mention arrogant. If it had been a Christian terrorist organisation that destroyed the World Trade Centre you’d be all over them. Let me guess – you’re one of those ‘9/11 was an inside job’ nutters? Or have you found some other way to blame western culture (and Christianity, and Europeans) for the attack? Those poor peaceful Muslims would never do something so nasty. Perhaps those planes were hijacked by undercover cardinals, sent by the Vatican!

Sure. Wouldn't it be funny if we were Hindu and we happened to have an arranged marriage? No it wouldn't, because Hinduism isn't funny.
