Re: Rayman Origins
The download is taking a good while, I still have only 30% downloaded yet (138MBs).
I believe it will take more than an hour to finish downloading...

Odd, mine downloaded quite swiftly, within the range of 10 mins, what's your download speed?Haruka wrote:The download is taking a good while, I still have only 30% downloaded yet (138MBs).

Re: Rayman Origins
Wow, I just finished the demo and I have to say, it's pretty much perfect.
The controls are flawless, its so easy to just pick up and play.
And the graphics are absolutely gorgeous.

Re: Rayman Origins
My PS3 is connected to the internet via wireless. If I had a LAN cable plugged in directly to the modem and the console, the thing would be quite different.
EDIT: Finished downloading and installing!
I'm trying out the demo right now!

I know this may be considered adspam, but have you considered using these electricity-circuit-propelled-Ethernet thingies?

My favorite level was def. the ocean level, followed by Swinging Caves. The moskito was a bit boring![]()
Btw, time trials are freaking fantastic!!!
EDIT: I am also proud to tell y'all I was the first EVER to receive Red Globox.

Re: Rayman Origins
Because I haven't got the demo, I do not know scale of your achievements. By the way, I wonder whether retail game will do anything with demo's saves.

Probably nothing as it has abilities you shouldn't have in some points.stan423321 wrote:Because I haven't got the demo, I do not know scale of your achievements. By the way, I wonder whether retail game will do anything with demo's saves.

The Demo does not even save, once I quit the demo, all data was reset.stan423321 wrote:Because I haven't got the demo, I do not know scale of your achievements. By the way, I wonder whether retail game will do anything with demo's saves.
However, the demo will remember your stats during a session.
I was really impressed by the demo, the trailers did not have anywhere near the fluidity and beauty you see when playing the game directly, I will be testing Co-Op with my siblings soon if anyone wants my opinion on it.

Re: Rayman Origins
Any chance someone could get the soundtrack from the demo?
Re: Rayman Origins
I will, definitely.
I just finished playing through the demo in multiplayer with my sister. Multiplayer actually makes the game really fun, so I think I will be playing the whole game in co-op, probably also replaying some levels later because it's just fun with others. This game is made for that.

Hey, was the unlockable costume the Rayman as Globox or rather the Red Globox?

Re: Rayman Origins
Xbox version has Rayman as Globox as unlockable costume.
Re: Rayman Origins
Okay, having now played the demo, my first impressions are...
The soundtrack - Better than I expected, but nowhere near as good as the music in the first game. But still, it's early days yet.
Rayman himself - Handles virtually the same as he does in the original game, complete with helicopter and trademark fist attack. Not as fast moving as I expected, in fact you have to hit 'L2' on the PS3 controller in order to attain a quick speed.
The graphics - Excellent. You really get a feeling that every atom of the game's world is 'alive'.
Gameplay - Very smooth, very well coordinated. A mixture of slow and fast pace, depending on whether you're being chased or whether you're just quietly seeking out cages.
Difficulty - Moderate to hard. Took me five attempts to get past the final stage in the demo, where this sea creature is chasing you. However, for the more experienced gamer such as myself, the first two levels were a breeze (I doubt everyone will agree with that though).
Controls - Don't take much getting used to. Like I said, if you've played the original game, then controlling Rayman will be like putting on an old jacket.
Is this game as good as Rayman 1? Of course not, but it was never going to be. There are many moments where it feels like Rayman 1, especially when you're riding Moskito over a field of lava or ambling through a jungle smashing Electoon cages. But it does, as many people predicted, feel more like an amalgamation of the first three games, but on a 2D interface. So there's something for everyone.
8/10 (based on the demo...)

Re: Rayman Origins
Indeed this is quite ambigous.
Possibility 1. Paradigm supposes they'll change it and is wrong.
Possibility 2. Paradigm thinks there is a possibility of getting used to the music.

Re: Rayman Origins
No, it can't be changed. The game's already finished, it just needs to be released.
I was wondering why Wuigi hasn't been posting for a while?
