Most of the time he just tumbes and falls down
EDIT:No...No i don't think thats right...

There’s no indication that they ever planned to include that scene in the game itself. It doesn’t really matter if they don’t – we still have access to it and know the story behind Rayman’s origins.Paradigm wrote:The original description for the game said that Rayman was 'immature' and 'not quite there' in this game. Sounds to me like the entire plot for the early version of the game has been scrapped, because if you recall there was supposed to be that scene where Rayman was 'born' out of Betilla.
He looks almost exactly like his Rayman 3 incarnation to me.Paradigm wrote:Rayman certainly looks considerably younger than he does in the first three games, that's for sure. The years have obviously been kind to him!
It would make about as much sense as anything else – videogame characters alternate between different designs all the time, and the art team’s choices aren’t always driven by story logic. I also miss that design, mainly because of the memories I associate with it, but he really looks better in Rayman 2.Paradigm wrote:Obviously I would have preferred his original character design (from the first game) but given what we now know, that would make even less sense.
Of course she is. Nothing in the game contradicts the revelations in the original trailer, and the Bubble Dreamer still makes at least one specific reference to the nymphs creating Rayman. He also hints at a possible explanation for the inconsistencies regarding whether certain charachers have limbs: he says ‘the nymphs will get their act together eventually’, indicating that it’s at least possible for a limbless character to be given limbs.sergiomonty wrote:So, technically, Betilla is no longer Rayman's mother.

I knew Destructoid was going to give it a positive review, even though they are more harsh than other sites. For example, they only gave Saints Row: The Third a 7.0, and Battlefield 3 got a 7.5/10.AJack wrote:Another glowing review, this time from Conrad Zimmerman at Destructoid:

[Not spoiling anything - but no that's not the case. The Magician being Mr Dark was closer to the truth than that (but it wasn't entirely true).]spiraldoor wrote:Drolpiraat – [last night I dreamt that you told me the Mr Dark/Magician Teensy was just some kind of puppet under the control of the real Mr Dark, who would be revealed at the end of the game. This would be needlessly weird and convoluted – please tell me it isn’t true.]
You can chalk that up to it being different reviewers. Jim Sterling is the main reviewer at Destructoid, and he's known for being brutally honest when he thinks something is amiss. He was a big fan of COD:MW3 and the new Kirby game, but wasn't such a huge fan of Saints Row 3 or Battlefield 3. However it was another guy, Conrad Zimmerman who reviewed Origins.El Dango wrote:I knew Destructoid was going to give it a positive review, even though they are more harsh than other sites. Good idea, since I'm starting to wonder if I should keep reading the transparent text. I have the full script of the game on my computer now but I really don't want to read it (even though resisting it is quite hardiambored2006 wrote:And Droolie, please give a warning before you give away the big spoiler, OK? I never gave that big spoiler away and I don't plan to do it. Who knows, maybe I'm just steering the discussion in the wrong direction so none of you will know the truth when the game comes out.iambored2006 wrote:And Droolie, please give a warning before you give away the big spoiler, OK? I did get Rayman to slide over the ground though. Sprint around and then press down to make the character slide.
Whoa! Someone's ahead of me! I need to finish my demo soundtrack quickly! o_OEl Dango wrote:Da musics!
