Oh yeah, sorry that I forgot to reply to this. [I don't think they make an appearance. I could be wrong though, as I only read part of the script. And maybe they don't have any dialogue, which would explain why they're not in the script - or at least not in the part I read.]

Ultimately, Rayman is [Ancel's] original creation, and if all the people that love Beyond Good & Evil understand he is more than a one trick pony... and that if Rayman: Origins does well, it gives him more leeway for other opportunities because he has to build up his studio.,

so... basicly of we buy RO BG&E2 has a bigger chance...

Well sorry to disappoint you, but it's going to be pretty hard to get into the script. You're better off just waiting and playing the game.

If Rayman Origins is a sequel to Rayman 2, then that makes no sense either, because there is the small matter of explaining why the Electoons, Betilla, Mr Dark etc were all absent from Rayman 2 but were very much present in the first game and are now back in a game which takes place after Rayman 2. We still don't know what happened between Rayman 1 and Rayman 2. Where did all those characters go and why did the landscape of Rayman's world change so drastically?

I always assumed that R1 and R2 took place in different regions. Not that complex.

It also means that instead of Rayman maturing into the quiet, heroic character that we meet in Rayman 1 (and who we later see again in Rayman 2), he has devolved into an immature, childish buffoon.

Is Rayman really all that childish in Origins? He slaps instead of punching, and he smiles a lot, but there isn’t really all that much buffoonery on show.

It's not easy to get into the files if you don't know how - and I'm not going to help anyone because I don't want anyone to be spoiled. Oh well, do what you must. :/
