I do believe you find out the origins of some of the main cast throughout the game, although yes, it is a little weird, particularly as Betilla looks younger than in Rayman 1 - but I guess we can just call it a redesign :P

Dark Rayman wrote:If it's not a prequel then Mr. Dark won't be in it.. So who's going to be the main enemy in ''Rayman Origins''?

In fact, who's that crazy old female-zombie-thing supposed to be? Is she the final boss? :paranormal:
Actually, the main antagonist is Mr. Dark, there's no reason to scrap him from a sequel, he escaped in rayman 1, remember? So yeah, finally, we'll be able to kick Mr. Dark's ass, after so many years :mryellow:

And the granny? (she's not the final boss, she's a regular enemy from the land of the livid dead. Actually...she doesn't have anything to do with the main plot, but she and Mr. Dark share their hate for the Bubble Dreamer and both of them have Darktoons working for them. The only reason of rayman going to the land of the livid dead is...well, maybe to take revenge. Yeah, Rayman taking revenge, kind of weird, huh?)

^ that's probably slightly spoiler-y. Not on an extreme method, but for the benefits of others, do you think you could put that in transparent text?

Hmmm... I'll put in transparent text in the Granny thing, but I think I can keep the Mr. Dark part, since it is clearly announced on the website.

This suggestion may sound unrealistic, but I think it's pretty good a solution to the nearing issue with spoilers- Hunch, why don't you add a page that opens when someone signs in to the website that warns him of the consequences of posting spoilers. Something like a 24h ban should make people be cautious when posting stuff in the next two months. Or maybe a huge warning banner in the home page...

Or make a completely separate thread for Origins spoilers.

Yeah, I was going to suggest this. That's what a lot of forums too, particularly if something is leaked. As a result of it being called the 'Spoiler thread', people who don't want the game spoiled just won't click on it. It saves the effort of transparent text , accidental spoiler slips etc. too

I'm trying to get within the top 10 on that mini-game, but the highest I can get up to is over 100. Anyway, the mini-game really reminds me of the Newgrounds game Toss the Turtle.

I believe I'll understand better "why Origins is a R2 sequel" by playing the whole game. Fortunately it isn't missing much time for that.

As long as I know, there already was something interpreted as such a hint in Daily Bubbles. Then, that information was deprecated by an interview/preview. If it will be revealed as an R2 sequel now, it's pretty much most bizarre idea ever in Rayman series.
