I've seen some trailers for Saint's Row recently and I struggled to understand what exactly the concept of the game was meant to be. Just looked like some characters in fancy dress had been inserted into a Grand Theft Auto game. Seems like just another game for people who like blowing things up and shooting people. Very tedious indeed.
Well, I'm somewhat interested in it, mostly because it kinda looks like what I think the 3D GTA game should have been. I also like that it apparently has a really detailed character creator, and stuff like that is always pretty neat. :)

EDIT: Started a new page twice in a row, like a BAUWS!

There's rumours of Rayman Origins being sold already in some stores here, anyone heard similar stuff?

No, I didn't. It is ridiculous the fact that Rayman Origins isn't seen for pre-order or in "coming soon" lists in Portuguese online stores. Why I have the feeling the game will arrive 1 week delayed into our stores, compared to the other countries in Europe? I'm glad I'm getting it next week. :tssk:

I hope we're getting the gift basket next week. It would suck if we got the game late because of delivery...

I love Rayman Origins, right now I'm trying to find more cages so I can [get enough Electoons to build a bridge so I can fight the Poor Little Daisy!]

Hunch guaranteed us that Ubisoft would send the prizes by the end of this week, so it means they'll send the stuff now tomorrow or in Friday. He also guaranteed us that the prizes would arrive days before the European release date. I've done the calculations, and my Gift Basket will arrive for sure somewhere next week between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning. If they come in Wednesday morning, I'll have to go to the Mail Centre of my living area in the next morning to pick personally the crate.

So I never thought I'd be collecting Lums as Globox to trade to the Magician for Electoons.

It's better than sex, but that's to be expected.

I definitely suggest getting the demo if you can't get the game yet. It has some fun but easy levels.

It definitely left me wanting MORE. And even though we knew about the 'return to roots' thing, I couldn't believe just how much it felt like the original game. Everything from the mushrooms stacking themselves up and then collapsing (in the foreground) to Electoons dancing around Rayman's feet after you've freed them. It really is the true sequel to the first game that they never originally made. Some of us have waited a long long time for this.

Some more stuff from playing today:
[The big bird in the 'Around the World' trailer is the first boss in the game. You learn to fly in the second world, which appears to look much more like Band Land then the trailers show. In the beginning you walk trough a place that looks like the background from the ground parts in Band Land from R1 but covered with sand.]

As for the costumes:
[You will quickly unlock a skin from Rayman that looks like his blue power-up from R3, both blue and red Globox, and the blue, green, Rayman, and Globox skin for the Teensies.]

As for everyone favourite character:
[The Magician gives hints in the beginning of every level, like Rayman Junior.]

You got that right! where in Canada do you live? I'm a Vancouverite and I'm awaiting my CE being shipped (hopefully) on the 24th.
