Going back on what Rayfan said "Many people tried to prove that god existed...what did it end with failure"

Yes you are right many people have tried to persuade god exists but the second part is wrong! If they were not succesful then how can you explain that majority of the world is religious, Christianity has a percentage of 33.2% whilst a 2007 estimate showed that only 11.77% of the world is non-religous and a even smaller 2.32% of them are Athiests!

And also tobbe even though you say my logic is flawed so is science! They say that the world was created by a sequence of events (fair do) but they still have not come up with a reason how the actual Universe itself has come into existence we have the reason is God!

Yet another logical flaw. Majority doesn't elect the truth.

Yet majority shows how much people believe in science compared to how much people believe in god/gods!

I was talking about the majority of what the world believes in, less people are non-religious then religious. Plus most non-religious people use science to explain how everything came into being.

You got it all wrong. One does not "believe in science", that doesn't make sense. Non-religious people don't "believe in science"... they just don't believe a wizard created the Universe out of boredom, that's all. And religious people can't deny scientific facts.

Yet science is still unable to prove every event! They still have come up with no answer for how the Universe itself was created until then i shall continue believing in my Religion.

I don't care about what you believe and I have no interest in debating with you, I'm just pointing out you're saying nonsense.

And i am pointing out that until science can't find a answer for how the universe is created then science is talking nonsense. (You get what i mean)

There actually are science believers of some sort. They will go with most ridicolous theories just to propose competition for religions.

The entire concept of 'god' literally defies the laws of physics and the Universe. Can you give some sort of reasonable explanation as to how this is? You haven't given one debatable reason as to how god could exist other than "I believe in him so he exists!!)" That is a crap explanation that just doesn't work, and I'd enjoy to hear some sort of reason that is somewhat rational. Believing in something that can't physically exist is childish to say the least, just like believing in Santa. Of course it's good to get the kids to behave but he can't deliver presents to all those houses in one night on a bunch of flying reign deer that have no wings.

So tell me, what's the difference between Santa and god? Santa is far more believable concept than god.

No, God is far more believable than Santa Claus.

Historically this is true. Conceptually Santa is far more plausible.

I dare to disagree. Conceptually:
God - Universe "as we can see it" (including utilising tools) is only partial manifestation of the reality, moreover one created for some random reason by some kind of sentient being.
Santa Claus - A human like being decided one day to give presents to all behaving children in the world, by means of one-night travel, each year.

Knowing nature of humans, the last one is really implausible.

I'm not really talking about human nature, I just mean the actual possibility of it being true, but I guess that's debatable on its own ground which I'm not interested in doing right now.

Wow, biggest bunch of nonsense I've seen in this topic for a while. From RayFan taking about DNA to justify the Big Bang ( :boon: ) to Evil-Thingamajig using the archetype of sophisms to justify his own views ( :boon: :boon: :boon: ), I understand why Tobbe hasn't pointed out all of those horrible mistakes one by one.

I'll just make it simple for those who experience difficulties understanding basic logic and general culture: Both atheism and religion are beliefs. None of them have been proven to be true so far, so it's up to people's opinions. Science is not the opposite of religion, many great scientists were and are religious. The Big Bang not only created the universe, it also created time, so there cannot be anything before it. As concerns the causal origin of the Big Bang, I have to leave work right now but I'll try and explain it simply and thoroughly later.

In the meantime, please read yourselves twice before posting and avoid giving me headaches with claims that literally rape all logic.

He fly's around on fucking reindeers.
We shouldn't even be debating him, It'd make more sense to debate My Little Pony here.
