I can't comment on that since I've never laid eyes on the DSi version, but I'm assuming it would be difficult because of the smaller screen.

Holy cow and you can't beat it there?! Man, I mean, I know what you mean - I had a hard time too, but the DSi version is easy compared to the original.Greenbottle3 wrote:Really. The only version I have is DSiWare, though.

I know right? It's fricking hard. Where are you stuck on? I seemed to have the most trouble with the flying pencils and the eraser maze myself - the parts where you have to be quite precise to get through.Greenbottle3 wrote:Seriously? Picture City seems impossible!
Oh, and if you think PC is hard, you're gonna love the Blue Mountains. Many a swear bounced off my Double Screens in that one. Sheesh.
@Rulez:
True - that's why it's easier. See, Greenbottle, we're even better off with the lives system!

Not to mention a save game every PhotographerRulez wrote:I hear you have 30 continues, more health and you get lifes for 50 Tings.

No I don't think that's true. But I haven't ever tried so I wouldn't know.Electoon wrote:Not to mention a save game every Photographer
Let's get this straight so I know what you mean: every Photographer you encounter auto-saves your game so that if you shut down your DSi and then resume you will be able to resume at that last Photographer? I'm finding that pretty hard to believe as I think I would have figured that neat little trick out myself.

That is not true.
It saves a picture though...

Re: Rayman 1
I swear I remember reading that somewhere back when it was released. Oh well, maybe I miss-saw. Anyway, the point remains - you are playing the easiest version of Rayman...and I thought the GBA version was toned down difficulty wise....

Wasn't this problem discussed a few times already here on the RPC? Try a few searches, maybe you're in luck.

Regardless of what it says, it works on Windows 7. Unfortunately you might not having any music, which is only fixable if you are able to launch the game's configuration and change the sound card plugin.

Have you ever played Rayman Advance? If not, then you don't know the meaning of a small screen. Plus Rayman Advance is far closer in difficulty to the original than the DSi version, just the graphics are a little worse.Master4lyf1 wrote:I can't comment on that since I've never laid eyes on the DSi version, but I'm assuming it would be difficult because of the smaller screen.

The very same thing happened to me when I first played it.Glaciem wrote:I remember there was this one part in Picture City, where you're supposed to walk down this slippery platform, and then it bounces you safely through a bunch of pencils and more bouncy thingies, but I had just gotten the ability to run, so I assumed I was supposed to run through it, which caused me to lose about 30 lives over it before I accidentally walked down it and realized the mistake I had been making.
As concerns Mr Dark's shape-shifting ability, that's what seemed the most logical to me, even in the PC version.

Wait... you weren't supposed to run at all? FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!
I somehow got through that part by running, but it sure as hell wasn't easy, and I didn't manage it without taking a hit!
