You wouldn't agree if he did?
I do hold a grudge against the Rabbids, I admit. Though it has mellowed over the years as the franchises split, it began with sheer hate.
I like the Rabbids in terms of character, they do have that quirky charm, but the games which destroyed my favourite video game hero will always be a place of hate for me.

At the end of the day, even if the game did ruin Rayman, you have to put aside that hatred, and ask: "what would the game be like if Rayman was not in it?" and...I have to admit, it's not too shabby, it's fun and it is worthwhile...
I hate the games, yes, but I think they're not too bad in terms of gameplay.
And many people have put aside what happened in the Rabbids-era, bygones are bygones.

Well There is a good thing out of all those games... That fact that Rayman didn't get replaced!

If they hadn't made the Rabbids, Rayman Origins may not have been made. And that very well may be my new favorite game!

I disagree, the Rabbids were clearly upstaging Rayman's role to the point where he was considered the enemy, eventually, the franchises split, but until RO was announced, things did not look good.

On the other hand, thing's don't look good for the Rabbids at the moments, given the poor reviews for Alive and Kicking.

But, they may have made that Rayman 4 from 2006, and, whilst having gotten over it, I still to this day wonder what it would have been like.

Well, I don't agree - I have that exact opinion! It's just what I would have said, though, put with a little more (probably years of) thought behind it. I would have quickly gone irrational and into rant-form. I kinda do that with things I'm not happy about. Maybe I should change that.

More or less.

Personally, I think that RRR2 has got some fun mini-games, especially when played in group (Although the same thing is observed in the first game). Burp, Music mini-games, the watermelon one, TNT, phoning in the theatre, etc are among my favourites.

Now what it disappoints me is the lack of an ending cutscene or any reward after completing the game 100% (every mini-game unlocked, every "secret" Rabbid found and shot at in the FPS mini-games, unlocking every costume and beating all the Globox's scores (10000 up)). It just appears a crown in the Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 logotype. :?

I'll be able to try out TV Party, although I know Rayman only makes an appearance in the cutscenes.

RRR: Some neat scenery and art style, obviously the remains of when it was a platformer project. Feels rather rushed with some very sloppy and thrown together mini games here and there. I think the graphics may be the best of the series in this one oddly enough. The story and cut scenes also look as if they were chucked together very quickly, especially the ending. It was a fun enough launch title.

RRR2: Mini games are again a bit of a mixed bag but not as many duds as the first game. Graphics seem more simplistic, probably due to slight change in art style (none of the dark worlds of the first game). Story is particularly non existent but at this point it hardly needs one.

RRR TV Party: Honestly quite enjoyed this one, though again there was the odd mini game that were poor. Really liked the art style of this one, in particular the 2D animation throughout including those short micro games that pop up (including the Wario ware style collection of them at the end of the game). Cut scenes were unimportant but at least they tried this time unlike RRR2 and they were amusing enough.

Travel in Time: Complete and utter rubbish. Not sure what happened here though I assume the team that worked on the previous three had no hand in this one as it feels completely different. Extremely simplistic and boring mini games with not even one I found fun. Even the art style and music in this one is dull as all hell. The final nail in the coffin was a Just Dance mini game (right down to the rotoscoped humans prancing about) that barely worked at all. Best thing about the game was the scream button that was bloody funny to play about with ("bbaaaaaa-babababababa....bab.....bwaaaaababababa" etc) but otherwise a complete waste.

Favourite game in the series is Rabbids Go Home by a long shot and the mini game collection I enjoyed the most was probably TV Party, though 1 2 and TV party all had highlights that make them worth playing as well as moments that brought them down, so it's a good thing there's that collection disc with all three on now.

Lol why did I just type all that out.

Oh my god, the RRTiT was so disappointing... In the first days I was satisfied with the buying, but when I tried to explore the game more deeply I just regretted to have spent more than the real valour of the game. The Dancing minigames were the worst of all, without any doubt. Yes, there are few minigames that I actually found them fun, but it was disappointing to see several ones recycled from each others. It is also hilariously insane how virtually impossible is to unlock every trophy of the game.

At least with the other Rabbids games you could tell they were at least being creative with each mini game, trying to differ them all from each other. Everything in Travel in Time just used the default walking around in 3D engine used in the hub world and barely did anything with it, like races that were slow and tedious and those box collecting missions. I honestly couldn't play it for longer than an hour before I ended up trading it in (though to be fair I only paid £10 for it anyway).

It was the pure definition of "that'll do". They put in minimal effort just to chuck a game out in time (*snort*) with no concern for wherever it was fun or not. It was like a bad licensed movie/cartoon game: as long as it functioned as a basic video game that was enough to them.

Alive and Kicking doesn't look like it suffers this problem at all, as it appears to have at least got the style of the first three games (mainly TV Party) down and is at least lively and fun looking. It probably suffers most from being a Kinect game and most developers don't know what to do with it outside of slightly improved Eyetoy camera games at the moment, which were never much fun to begin with.

I admit that neither Eyetoy and the Kinect ever interested me at all. I think people have tendency to look more ridiculous than with the Wii Remote + Nunchuk or the PlayStation Move controllers.
