And restored the original gibberish, I'm not a big fan of Revolutions gibberish, it just lacks that magical, whimsical yet cute feel.
But perhaps the DC and PS2 versions could be provided separately, given their differences.

Re: Rayman 3
I think they could also fix the audio quality, because you cannot almost hear the voices/sound effects at certain moments.

If this really has higher audio quality I'll probably redo the soundtrack... again.
The upgraded textures are nice, but they messed up the score counter texture and some background textures. I kind of wish they would add noticeable stuff like blades of grass or a whole new lighting engine though. It would make it seem more worth it. Right now the Dolphin version still looks better here.
I'll still buy it though, being the Rayman stuff collector I am.

Re: Rayman 3
I hope they fix the off-sync voice acting. That would make the cutscenes so much better.

Re: Rayman 3
If Rayman 2 is to be re-released on PSN and XBLA, I hope they base it on the Dreamcast version rather than Revolution. Rayman 3D was a good sign.

Re: Rayman 3
See? We are already not consistent at what we want.
After some thinking, I'm assured R3 is the best thing they could remake at the moment. Remaking R1 would be really problematic from artistic standpoint, not mentioning tiny differences between versions. Remaking R2 is even more problematic as 1) it was rereleased as hell; 2) it has many different versions and all are interesting; 3) its level design doesn't really make me wanna just replay it in HD.

Re: Rayman 3
I've been gone from Pirate Community for a few days, but anyway, holy shit, Rayman 3 is getting an HD remake? SWEET!!! It's about time Ubisoft shows R3 some love (even though I love R2, I'm fucking sick of Ubisoft porting it OVER AND OVER. I'm glad they finally showed R3 some respect).
I'm a slut for HD versions of games. Games that I've played countless times in the past (i.e. the Metal Gear games) look BEAUTIFUL in HD, and games that I had never played in the past (i.e. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus) look beautiful too. I can't wait to see what Rayman 3 will look like in HD, especially in the psychadelic boarding levels.

Re: Rayman 3
It's not an HD remake at all, it's just basically Rayman 3 running in 1080p, which isn't that significant. Any PC user can do it.MetalGearChick wrote:I've been gone from Pirate Community for a few days, but anyway, holy shit, Rayman 3 is getting an HD remake? SWEET!!! Re: Rayman 3
There is still hope for better models/textures.
Re: Rayman 3
At a reasonable price this will be a good excuse to give this game another go. Had it years back on the Gamecube but sort of gave up on it half way through and brushed it aside, must of needed even more Super Monkey ball and F-Zero GX time or something.
Re: Rayman 3
Usually I'm not one for saying this but a good reason for me to get this is for the PSN trophies. I want to make it my goal to get all the trophies for Origins and then this.
Rayman 3 HD
Hmm! Smells nice!
Link with screens: http://www.hybridgames.co.uk/news/archi ... announced/Ubisoft have announced that they are giving Rayman 3 (which was first released in 2003) the HD treatment, with a re-jigged version of the game scheduled to hit Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, as it was one of the game's in the series that received a warm reception and is one of the series 3D highlights.
There have been rumours of a Rayman HD collection floating around for some time, but today's news suggests Ubisoft will be applying the HD treatment one game at a time, but for now there's no firm news on a release date or price just yet. Rayman recently made a triumphant return to 2D with Rayman Origins.
UPDATE : Ubisoft have announced that Rayman 3 HD will be rleased on PSN and Xbox LIVE in Spring 2012, and will support both trophies and achievements on both formats. The game will feature an "all-new high-definition makeover," and will be "updated to run at 60 frames per second and offers improved audio quality."

Re: Rayman 3
Ooh, I hope they put a few more bosses, such as Kagoubinome, in the game. Maybe ome scrapped content like the Xowar could make an appearance!

Re: Rayman 3
They’re not even bothering to include the extra minigames that were in the GameCube version, so I doubt they’ll go to the trouble of getting any unused material into a functioning state.

Literally. They're not even updating the material textures as one can clearly see.spiraldoor wrote:They’re not even bothering to include the extra minigames that were in the GameCube version, so I doubt they’ll go to the trouble of getting any unused material into a functioning state.
