I got my copy yesterday, and boy, I was really blown away! I'm up to the second world on the 3rd level, I don't wanna rush through this too much, I want to make it last. I can't even begin to list how many times I died because I thought I had the helicopter hair on Jibberish Jungle. Suddenly the skull coin at the beginning of Swinging Caves seems harder to reach. Not to worry though I got my helicotper power at the start of the 2nd world, I guess Ancel knows we want to use that wild hair-do of Rayman's. "Here we go!" No wait, wrong game- *Picks up skull.* "WWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The day when invisible text disappears :bad:

(Ok, that sounded kind of ironical)

Be careful, non-spoiled people, I'm a complete tattletale :mryellow:

Really? You mean we can finally talk about The Magician and his sixteen-year masquerade? All right! I still can't believe that the Magician and Mister Dark are the same person! THAT is UNBELIEVABLE! Even if the story itself was nonexistent, this one twist made up for it completely!

Okay I am ONE TROPHY away of getting them all. That one being "Back at You!". Sadly I completly forgot which stages has Hunters in them with seeking missiles (as the ones with normal missiles would be impossible to re-direct at them). Can someone tell me a good stage for getting this trophy?

EDIT: seems I missed another one. Any tips on how to do the Kung Fu Combo! trophy?

Attack an enemy while crouching down, then when they're bubbilized jump up and attack them again in the air.

I'd probably leave spoilers transparent for a few days more guys - just because it's the 25th it doesn't mean all Europeans spontaneously have the game and have completed it past midnight :P

Warning: "magic boobies" included. You probably shouldn't watch those textures if you're afraid of spoilers, too.

I can't convert the textures all at once yet, and some don't open (most of the skins textures, sadly), but I'm still working on it. :)
Wow, they're so nice! I'd be nice to re-see some of the ones that were already ripped (eg. Rayman and the Electoons) to appreciate the quality difference and such. Also the most random request - the other day I was working on something with the Wii sprites, and the only thing left I needed for a finishing touch was one of those health item hearts. Really random but - yeah. Also I suppose that sort of thing is useful for Raywiki for item articles and the like

Thank you. I'm just barely in Gourmand Land and I would prefer to figure these things out myself.

Holy balls Droolie, I'm both starstruck and jealous; starstruck because of your gato-bailando-esque speed, and jealous because I've barely even touched the game.

Man, I so want it. I haven't played anything of Rayman except for the first one forever ago when it first came out. XD The other ones must have not looked appealing to me or something....Didn't it go 3D for awhile? That's probably why. I like 2D games <_<.

But I searched it and for some reason the one with the art book and the ost and such doesn't come to the USA? That's unfair. If i get my hands on it will it be able to play on the xbox/ps3/wii/etc, even if its from overseas? I know with PS2 there's all those restrictions, but I don't know how any of the newer systems work because only my brother owns them. I don't personally have xbox/ps3/wii/etc. But I will likely get either a xbox or ps3 for Christmas I'm guessing.

And I heard Magician was in this one? Yay! Because I remember him being my favourite character with his funny voice and strange tricks though I always thought he was like secertly evil (or at least sly/mysterious, cause normally I like evil guys >_>....*Iamafreak*) or something cause he acted so werid all of the time XD (but wasn't he one of the main heroes that helps Rayman, I forget....oh well. Its been too many years.) But i heard he was in origins and that Origins takes some after the first game, so that's why I want to play it so much. I don't even remember what the story of Rayman is.....maybe I should go back and play the first game or I might not understand this new one.......

French making of part 3:

Maybe someone can make english subtitels for all parts? Than we have the full making of, not only the "official" englisch one is missing a lot of stuff.

What's a teensie? I don't remember much from the first game like races.....I remember like these little critters in cages, and mosquitos, and a huge scorpion (or crab maybe) who i think was one of the main evil people or maybe he was a rock golem man or something. And Rayman's kind of people with no arms or legs (which is what the magician was before I think anyway). And a saxophone person I think. <- I swear the creators were on some drugs when making it XD. It reminds me some of Kinnikuman series because they have things like Telephone people and shoe people.

I'm guessing Magician doesn't have the same voice actor(s) then since its been forever since the first game. I'm not sure how many years ago......but I was very younger.

But I did find this one video when my friend showed me and its really cute, from origins, I mean. With chibi blue person singing and dancing around. That's another reason that made me want to buy the game. I thought it was just too cute. <3

Was playing it co-op with Stacey all of last night. Oooh boy.

Is it too early for me to say this? Best Rayman game by a long shot. That's hard for me to say, because I loved Rayman 2, but really this game is close to flawless.

If I was to write a review, the only negative I could think of would be er...the Teensies, and that's a pretty minor point.
There just so boring, and also too small to really play well with when the camera zooms out with their animations a little too vague sometimes, plus there are SO many unlockable Teensies in different costumes. They're very much the equivalent of the Toadstool guys in NSMB Wii: no one will want to play them really.

I guess the only other snag was the lack of control when doing a wall jump: say you fall near a bottomless pit and you grab on to a cliff on it's side and want to jump upwards back onto it...you can't. Every time you jump from a wall it's the same fixed jump forward and you can't control it. Shame but again really minor niggle in a specular game.

I honestly don't know how or if they will be able to outdo this game in a long while. They could make of the same as far as I'm concerned: a sequel with a better variety of playable characters (hell make up new characters if they have to), the option for online co-op (like how it works in Little Big Planet), some extra game modes like a combat mode (like Smash bros), and just more of the same intense, beautiful, brilliantly designed levels. Hopefully this sells well enough to warrant a sequel.

Thanks! I've been searching for the ad for a while.
Definitely better than the American version, and it shows MUCH more gameplay.

I love the Teensies. When I played the demo I actually picked a Teensy in favour of Globox, just because of the magic attacks they do, which I find really cool. The Toad comparison is made often, but I don't really think it's fair, as the Teensies are made to have so much more charm and personality to them. Can't imagine why nobody would want to play as a one.
