Not sure. Apparently there was.....an art section on the forum somewhere he mentioned? Erm, I dunno where he saw it. But yeah. Or are there places that I can show off what I'm working on currently (non-Rayman stuff, because.....I've never drawn that in my life) and hopefully someone will be like "HEY! I wanna draw/model/texture with you! Let's be buddies~" which probably won't happen, but a girl can dream.

Can we post non-Rayman art in there? I mostly draw original stuff, and its mostly ugly. And anime. Like....here's the current character portrait I'm working on for a visual novel game my team's making, and I was just using what I had of her for placement so I can figure out how to place the text dock.....


^ o.O Ugly....I wish I could draw like one of my friends. His art is so cute. Mine is a bit more mature looking. But the washed out colours are supposed to be that way. This VN is kinda of dark in nature.

But yeah my friend's only ben doing art for a few weeks, and his stuff is miles better.....like:

^ He made that image for our links XD and for a character from the rpg game a portion of the team is making.

So yeah, I'm a majour fail compared to him.

Ugly? That's fantastic. All your friend has done is made the character wear fancier clothing. I think yours shows a better sense of proportion.

I like doing art (mostly fanart) and collabing with Drindrence (Hannah)

Drin draws backgrounds better than me I'm only good at colouring

Heh well his is kind of chibi-er. Its a cutesy game whereas the one I draw for isn't. His characters are more "manga" proportioned.....mine are more 'realism'. But he's millions times better at colouring things that's for sure. XD (and he's more popular with his art than I am.....and I been drawing years now, and him, just a few weeks).

Welcome to the forums, Dakota. At least your good with colouring. I hate to colour, but I loooove to draw/sketch/lineart. But not fanart, mostly originals. I love there's so many art people here. Great for getting critique from! Its cool you know someone who can draw backgrounds. They should seriously teach me. I'm bad at that but I've wanted to learn for awhile now.

And yeah! The best thing to do is never give up. With art its one of those things that your bound to get better as you go along, even if its slowly. Don't listen to the nitpickers either......critique is good but sometimes people are too picky and it causes you to be exasperated with it. Or it does for me. Art isn't something you can learn to do perfectly and I never have seen a perfect art anyway. Theres ALWAYS room for improvements so just never stop drawing. Plus always someone will like your art no matter if some don't. I learned that a long time ago. So its good thing to keep in mind: I'm not here to please everyone.

Okay, I'll shut up now. I can get carried away when talking about things.....(and I'm just hyper from having been out to Black Friday sales after Thanksgiving here......)
