If I'm not allowed to post the soundtrack on RayTunes, then surely this one track is still okay.

Yeah, I won't do it. It's part of the official soundtrack - the one you can buy, so as long as the Collector's Edition is available, it won't be on RayTunes.Rulez wrote:He can't.Greenbottle3 wrote:You should add this to Raytunes!Drolpiraat wrote:Alright, I couldn't resist.

Re: Rayman Origins
How comes that your soundtrack is BETTER? And are you meaning that once the CE's not available you'll upload it? For example if it's impossible to buy from Ubi (Not counting eBay and such) you'll upload it to RayTunes?Drolpiraat wrote:Yeah, I won't do it. 'Big Mamma's Lullaby' - Now there's a level name which could have come straight out of Rayman 1. Very similar to 'Mr Sax's Hullabaloo' or 'Space Mamma's Crater'.Drolpiraat wrote:Anyway, for the people who are interested what's on the soundtrack exactly (I probably won't put it on RayTunes), here is a list of all the tracks. I still don't have the game yet, and I don't think I can wait much longer. I'm going to order it on Monday hopefully.

Re: Rayman Origins
Maybe I can find the soundtrack on eBay sometime!
Re: Rayman Origins
Anyone knows if the true soundtrack coems with some other extra song besides Mr. dark's battle theme?
Re: Rayman Origins
So I never got a console, but I bought a friend Rayman Origins, and we ended up playing it together.
Total blast to play in co-op, but we were kind of unsure about the single player. Still, one of the best co-op games I've played.

Re: Rayman Origins
Probably (and hopefully.) Origins is certainly my new favourite Rayman game, most likely because the rayfan in me loves the idea that each game so far is finally being given the recognition in continuity that they deserve.spiraldoor wrote:
Regarding the continuity between the games – I’ve been under the impression that Origins marks a ‘new beginning’ for the series. The first three games had only a loose continuity with minimal references, and each seemed to take place in its own world, but the purpose of Origins is to retcon them together into a more cohesive universe. Gabrielle Shrager has told us this in as many words. Future Rayman games will probably work more coherently with Origins than the first three games worked with each other.
Yeah, I don't know why Ubi made such a u-turn on so many things during development (much like they did with a lot of their products. Raving rabbids for example.) One friend suggested that the biggest change may be because of ubi art- they want to get their money back on it and thus a full game with lots of advertising just might do the tricks, which makes sense. Perhaps this meant a lot of ideas meant for the episodic version had to be entirely trimmed down and out as the production sped up. I'm really hoping that's the answer, it would be more reasonable. The points you raise are the ones I’ve been struggling with.
Oh, basically- if you're refferring to me, I meant the posters in the reveal room. When we first see the magician, there are posters of the real mr dark as he probably would have appeared in origins. the hat is slightly wider at the top, the arms are long and skinny and he's in a variety of poses. If you mean someone who was talking about the art book, then I hope he's in there too. ]By the way – what’s this about an ‘Art of Origins Mr Dark’? Does the art book have a picture of the original?
I imagine this is something to bring up in a post mortem interview if we ever get the chance. Will we ever get the chance? This is the question on everyone's lips here right now, and I know I'm dying to see the answer. The fact that all the exposition was removed indicates that the idea was scrapped, but the remaining hints make it seem more ambiguous. Remember, they never planned for us to read that early script. As for the idea that the twist leaves more room for sequels, that may be so, but it’s more wishful thinking than a strong argument. I just wish we had some kind of direct confirmation either way.
Cheers, tbh I definitely think I was too harsh in the way i've approached you in the past (It was actually coming from what I've heard elsewhere years ago, which shows i'm out of date and stupid :V) so I apologise for that. Also for getting the P.O.V's mixed up.Feel free to stick around. I still think your complaints about Ancel’s attitude towards Rayman 3 were silly, but you raised good points about Rayman 2’s problems, and now about Mr Dark and the Magician. Not many of our members bring challenging ideas.
Another thing I've been wondering is how the website mentions Jano- but as far as I know we never get to see the bubble dreamer become him. Are there any references to this in the game in the same way as the reveal is done in subtle stuff in the background? Another question because I haven't sat through the entire game (still kinda want to keep the game itself a surprise :V) is-
[- Does the magician dressed as mr dark, as on the website, ever actually turn up to taunt rayman in the game? If not that seems like a major let down. How about the fact that art of mr dark always has him with items in his cloak now? Was he going to sell rayman stuff throughout the game? Does it ever turn up in game? -]

Re: Rayman Origins

The pose of Mr Dark with his coat full of weapons, a bottle of alcohol and a weird plant (possibly a turnip) is just a joke, mainly a reference to what children are supposed to see as a "bad guy" offering "bad stuff". Don't take it serious.
Re: Rayman Origins
^Yep, and if that were Razorbeard, he'd be selling illegally copied DVDs because he's a PIRATE!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Just kidding, Just kidding.

Re: Rayman Origins
Ah, I got ya, but does he ever actually appear like that in-game? I won't lie, I'd be kinda disappointed if he didn't turn up like that for a brief comic moment.
Re: Rayman Origins
Yeah, if only it were a level name it would be cool. Too bad it isn't. It's the name of the song.Paradigm wrote:'Big Mamma's Lullaby' - Now there's a level name which could have come straight out of Rayman 1. He's not the final boss, however, you'll have to chase him through a level which YOU WILL DIE A LOT IN, it's a good thing they abolished the lives system, finally, you'll end up chasing Mr. Dark on Moskito-back.
The true final boss is Big Mama.

Pretty sad dude. So its all a joke about the magican in Rayman 1? The magican talks about the evil Mr. Dark and then he proves to be the good side of Mr. Dark himself. Just silly!Master4lyf1 wrote:He's in the game, but...only as the magician, he never changes into his Dark attire.RaymanPS1 wrote:Hi again guys. And also, pretty sad that they scrapped the final showdown with Mr. Dark. The music was perfect and I could imagine that final battle.

But yea it was kind of a bummer that there was no true final showdown, but not so much to make me stop loving it XD
Re: Rayman Origins
Yeah, it's a great game. 2D with Betilla, the Magican, Livingstones, Hunters and more. It reminds me of how much I loved Rayman 1. But the final boss is not epic at all. And you really don't get rewarded for beating it 100%. And I would wish they had more references to Rayman 1 like the"!" sign where Rayman said "YEAH!" when completing a level or I would simply love to see the sliding levels of Rayman 1, so much fun. Anyways, is the level you chase Mr. Dark when he is on the flying ship?Marshall wrote:His good side? I'd think of him more as an impersonator lolRaymanPS1 wrote:Pretty sad dude.
