I use Pro Tools, which is reasonably expensive professional software. I sometimes use Wavepad though which is free.

Two pieces of awesome news. 1, an official member of the Crytek staff is helping me export the Rayman model to CryEngine3, she's the coordinator of handling characters too and from the engine. 2, I'm receiving both an alto and tenor sax on Tuesday and I'll be using them in part 22 of the soundtrack.

He is, but I've got some stuff of my own of course.

for miking instruments such as these a not-too-expensive mic such as a good ol' SM57 (which I'm using) will probably work better than a Neumann condenser.

@Pusianka:
You don't need a pre-amp unless you want the amp distortion to come through the recording. If you're just recording directly from your guitar to the computer then you won't have a pre-amp, it'll just be a clean guitar sound. If you can send that to me I can post-amp it for you which is virtually the same thing.

I can voice act if you like.I'd like to be the Magician.I don't know if you'll like my voice since I'm 15 but I hope so!

I'd love to hear your voice! Remember, the Magician is an insane projector, so you'll have to do the same when recording.

And yes, the game will mostly have an R2 feel to it, though it even has some elements of Rayman Origins if you're fighting without using the ray shot (you can use both fists and the ray shot). How does it work? Well in this game I've made the ray shots more of a rechargeable ammo system, so if you run out you'll have to use your fists. You don't even gain the ability to use the ray shot until Mount Kollapso where Ly grants it to you.

Ok nice to hear this.This game looks wonderful! And as for my Magician voice act,I've been trying to get a somewhat deep voice tor esmble that of the R1's Magician xD Just send me a paragraph and I'll send you my voice act for you.I don't mind repeating,I'm spanisha nd I want to practise my english.Don't worry,I'm good.I have a 10/10 points in english.And I can speak pretty flowly (if that word is well employed).I will repeat it till I act it properly but I may last a bit because I'm studying

Deep voice? The Magician doesn't have an incredibly deep voice. Anyway, just try to imitate a few lines from the R1 intro.

Oops,it's true that he doesn't have a deep voice xD I have always learnt british english so I shouldn't have any problem to emulate his accent.I'll send you an MP when I've finished.If yopu don't like it I can repeat it to make it better,if you consider I should.I really wanna do it

Yep!

I like the sound of your voice a lot. Might you be able to add some more cartoony dynamic to the phrase? There was already a nice amount in there, but the Magician is over the top if you know what I mean. Also it sounded like you said "Hi fucks!"
