I just assumed that they were quite young, and also not very good at English. So a bit of miscommunication involved as wellSpanex wrote:I think is troll

Re: Rayman Origins
DLC for Origins does not sound like something I would go with, but I am not Ubisoft after all.

Re: Rayman Origins
I think DLC may not be possible... I mean... think about all of the wii owners that would be disappointed (no DLC for us). a Rayman Origins 2 (not necessarily called like that) would be great anyway
...anyway, didn't michel ancel say that he would release ubiart for public use? when will it be released?

No, they did not.sergiomonty wrote:It would be awesome...but ubisoft confirmed that there wouldn't be downloadable material for rayman origins u.u
Let me get this straight – you think the developers should restrict additional content for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions so that Wii owners won’t have to get their knickers in a twist over it? You think it’s better for everyone to suffer the effects of the Wii’s weaknesses? You want to drag everyone down with you?sergiomonty wrote:I think DLC may not be possible... I'm sorry Spiral, but he said DLC would not be possible because the Wii owners would be disappointed with the lack of thereof.spiraldoor wrote:Let me get this straight – you think the developers should restrict additional content for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions so that Wii owners won’t have to get their knickers in a twist over it? 1. Yes they did.
2. I have a better question for you: do you want to give priority to the other consoles and let the wii owners fuck themselves? I'm pretty sure that Michel doesn't.

Re: Rayman Origins
Then it’s a real shame that they permanently crippled the game for the rest of us by releasing it on the Wii.Rulez wrote:I'm sorry Spiral, but he said DLC would not be possible because the Wii owners would be disappointed with the lack of thereof.
When? Hunch asked one of the developers at the Paris Games Conference, and he was told that DLC was currently not planned. This is not confirmation that no DLC will ever be produced. If they have issued a statement that it will not, I would like to see it.sergiomonty wrote:1. Yes they did.spiraldoor wrote:1. Yes they did.

Re: Rayman Origins
1.Duh... that's practically a confirmation, and considering Michel's "supposed" work on BG&E2, I see him working on rayman in a distant time. In an interview he also said that he's not working on another Rayman game for a while. By that distant time, RO will be old. As I said, a new full retail may be good for every user, remember? WiiU? next year? HD? come on!
2.Yeah, but the 360 and ps3 versions have hd and achievements/trophies, what else do you want? It's not necessary to say "fail" if you avoided my question too.

Re: Rayman Origins
I just noticed something, in the instruction booklet's description of 'the darktoons' it says that during the first bad dream polokus begot jano, not became him.
for those that don't know begot means created or gave birth to, meaning they are seperate characters, which would make sense because it also talks about jano in present tense, making darktoons/antitoons.

^He is right. Also, on the spanish and french version of the website it says that "Polokus created an evil being called Jano". It looks like the english version of the website had a traslation mistake, a horrible mistake.

Re: Rayman Origins
No, it’s not a confirmation at all; I doubt that a decision on whether to produce DLC would have been made until Ubisoft had determined how successful the game was. No use developing extra content for a game that could bomb. Ancel wouldn’t have to work on it (sometimes DLC is even outsourced), and we have no confirmation that he’s diving straight back into BG&E2 anyway. All in all, we do not know if Rayman Origins DLC will be released. Stacey says that a member of Ubisoft told her they were considering it, which rather invalidates what you call the ‘confirmation’ that it would not.sergiomonty wrote:1.Duh... that's practically a confirmation, and considering Michel's "supposed" work on BG&E2, I see him working on rayman in a distant time. The possibilities are endless; they could add new skins, new levels (like the art world that they didn’t finish), alternate endings, and perhaps even online play. Not sure why you seem to regard ‘HD and achievements/trophies’ as the extent of the other consoles’ abilites.sergiomonty wrote:2.Yeah, but the 360 and ps3 versions have hd and achievements/trophies, what else do you want? ‘Begot’ is an unusual word, and sounds rather like ‘become’ or ‘became’; I guess that might have been the source of the translator’s confusion. So Jano is essentially the offspring of Polokus? I’m cool with this.
Re: Rayman Origins
I've tried a little the PS3 version of RO this afternoon, and holy cow, the game is really gorgeous. X3
I still didn't try out the Wii version but I think I'll play with the Wii Remote+Nunchuk control method.

Re: Rayman Origins
Online?...god. Spiraldoor, you really have big expectatives about DLC, right? but think about it: If alternative endings were downloadable, don't you think that this would force people to pay to know the end of the game? isn't that what ubiart was supposed to avoid when they decided to make it a full retail title? I know you're worried about the ending, but tell me, what would be better for you to explain what produces you those big headaches? like 3 or 4 useless skins and a few filler levels? or a full retail title that brings not only that but also a continuity that explains more clearly what happened in the last game?

Re: Rayman Origins
You asked me what sort of DLC I would like to see, not what I thought was most likely. For your information, online play was patched into LittleBigPlanet after the game’s retail release, so that’s not out of the question at all.sergiomonty wrote:Online?...god. One of Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia games featured a DLC ending; this is unconventional, but I think it would be justified for Rayman Origins, whose ending is confusing, ambiguous and anticlimactic. I’d gladly pay for a proper final battle in the Moody Clouds.sergiomonty wrote:but think about it: If alternative endings were downloadable, don't you think that this would force people to pay to know the end of the game? isn't that what ubiart was supposed to avoid when they decided to make it a full retail title?
(You sentence structure is a little difficult to decipher, so I’m not sure what you’re trying to ask me here.) Please stop trying to talk down DLC; some of the ‘useless’ skins that were cut from the final game are characters I’d love to play as, like the Magician, Tarayzan and Uglette. And what makes you think that additional levels like Picture City would be ‘filler’, apart from your inherent bias against downloadable content?sergiomonty wrote:I know you're worried about the ending, but tell me, what would be better for you to explain what produces you those big headaches? like 3 or 4 useless skins and a few filler levels? or a full retail title that brings not only that but also a continuity that explains more clearly what happened in the last game?
Rayman Origins, as we know it now, is a shadow of what it could become if the developers play their cards right.

I asked you something, why don't you answer?
Let me ask you again, what do you prefer? A FULL GAME WITH IMPROVED GAMEPLAY, MORE EXPLANATIONS AND MORE CONTENT? OR JUST A FEW MORE CONTENT? i wrote it with caps on so you won't have excuses to avoid my questions

You may want to fix that.Mr. Dark Thingamajig wrote:i have now 660 electoons freed
