I thought the Magician was like Rayman (no arms, no legs, no neck), and has buttons on his shirt and not-blue skin and no eyes (well hat covers his eyes) and with a star on his hat. Magician also has long blonde hair and this one has no hairs at all. Well at least I never remember the magicians wearing black either. ^^; Maybe I'm just confused. Or maybe he started to dress different on the Raymans besides the first Rayman which is the only I have played.
I'm talking about this one though:
Its name might be Dr. Dark but some people say it is and some not so I'm confused. So I guess maybe it is the one that transform into the mixed-up bosses of the Rayman 1 because I think it had the same or similar name? (I think in the first game we never seen it's face and it has different eyes and I think it was a version of "Rayman species" too cause I remember the hands/feet detached like Rayman's......not this kind, so it might not be the same one anyway). Confusing
But the models of it would be so cute ^_^. Its the very cutest of any Rayman character I ever seen. (Also I feel really sick so if my posts don't make sense I'm blaming that XD )
The current two running theories are that he is either:
Both the Magician and Mister Dark
The Magician and is a huge Mister Dark fanboy
He is officially the Magician and probably Mister Dark as well.

But.....he can't be magician and Dark since Dark and Magician are in some of the same scenes together I think on some Rayman games (I swore I saw them as separate characters XD in the same scene once on videos.....I think it was magician and the faerie girl and then Dark comes in and steals something), so it'd have to be one or other other if any of them at all.

^ So how would this happen? xD Unless he can splitted himself into two people.....But now I look at it, the dancing one looks more like Dark than Magicians. The clothes are basic the same like the cape and hat are very identical. So maybe Magician randomly decided to wear Dark's clothes, or Dark disguised himself as a Magician to trick people (probally one of those two but I never played the game so I don't know the story). But yeah they technically can't be the same person both or else things get werid......<___< And I mean very! (Well unless its alternate universe where the games no longer match up. Maybe in Rayman each game is a different world and the other plot doesn't apply. there are games like that out there actually so......)

But that is the Magician, it was confirmed in the pre-release script that a lot of us got a peek at. How do they appear in the same place in English with Rayman? Well it clearly isn't canon, as it's either the most or second most unrelated Rayman game created. The other candidate, being that French learning game.
Notice how Rayman looks quite different that he does from 1-2-3-Origins? it's merely a redesign. If you listen, it's also the same voice actor in Origins as the Magician from Rayman 1.
OMG it is? I loooove Magician voice ^^ Its so smexy. I'm glad he still has his voice. XD And I think I likes Magician even better now that I know he can dance and sing and that he's so cute.
And.....I had the plushy custom ordered which means they have to make it and everything before they ship it to me >_>. I also don't have a camera anymore <_<. But I'll try to get pics somehow.

And then I was finally watching a video of origin aside from the dance video that i watch repeatedly (yay obsessions) >_>.....and I noticed it has posters in his house saying "<3 mister D" along with the pictures of himself someone mentioned, or at least thats what it looks like. XD I guess he loves himself! He doesn't have to worry, I love him too ^^ though I just call it Muffybuns. Because.....it sounds like a good name for what it looks like!
Also yeah the voice was kinda of the same as Magician's but....sometimes goes into a strange voice x.x; on the videos. I don't remember Magician ever changing his voice mid-sentence but maybe I'm wrong. Its so fricking cute though. And I repeated the 'Anger-Day, Anger-Day' part of video so many times my mom threw stuff at me. But it was too cute. And I have obsessive compulsive disorders about cute stuff XD My mom on the other hand....not so much.
