Yeah guys rub it in why don't ya.

Well I've got the Ubishop problem sorted now, I sent a request to cancel my order and I come back on my gmail to about 4 emails from them saying they've cancelled it and refunded my money [turns out I paid it with Paypal, which probably doesn't help in this case] and now I've switched my order over to Amazon who've knocked it down by a few quid.

Hey guys, Remember me? haha oh well.
Anyway, after completing Rayman Origins (on WII), I would like to share my opinion of the game with you.
When I first started the game, one of the first things I noticed was the solid controls and impressive multiple layers of (pretty) scenery, making the game look almost 3D. The opening cinematic scene of the game however was very digital and fuzzy looking, and it was clear that the intro had been crappily ported from the hd versions onto the lower resolution WII version. It looked very rushed. After veiwing the opening cinematic things became completely confusing, as I simply jumped out of the cage and was bombarded with text, music and imagery and couldn't take it in all at once (murphy's text bubble, his voice, the music, visual effects etc). It simply throws you into the game too sudden and introduces you to the characters in an extremly rushed way, they could have at least put more speech or whatever to explain what the hell was going on on the snoring tree and why Polokus was pulling his eye out and making chicken noises. After that the game throws you onto the world map, which in my opinion wasn't very pretty and the music was boring to listen to and unfitting (Spongebob, anyone?) Apart from these drawbacks, the first level was fun to play and was of course very pretty. However, the game agian felt rushed as Bettila was very quickly introduced to you (if that was even an introduction) and the didjeridoo music was irratating. I did find freeing the nymphs in the game quite hilarious however, that was one of my favourite parts. Moving on, the rest of the worlds were fun and the visulas were pretty (Sea of Serpendity, so beautifal ;-;) but throughout all of the worlds I always felt dissapointed. The game feels so rushed and anti-dynamic, and avoids any sort of story telling at all costs. it can get very reppetive, and there are far too many Mosquito levels. The music sometimes plays up, especially in boss fights, which only contributes to the feeling of rushed-ness. What I also found dissaponting was the large number of things that were changed and ommited from the game, the fact that Michel Ancel showed the LAST FRIGGIN LEVEL against the warship on the e3 demo (the final level, the Reveal, was completely under-whelming, by the way) and that the final boss had the regular boss music.
Good points:
(at times) gorgeous graphics.
Solid controls and action.
a few nice songs.
Some inventive levels and bosses.
The amount of homages to Rayman's past.
Bad points:
No story.
And everything mentioned above. Rating: 7/10 (I might be being too forgving, giving all the issues, but oh well). A complete dissapointment, but still quite fun.
Sorry for this massive amount of text..

I'm glad that got solved.

Animated video games? As opposed to text based games or something?

By "best animated game" they obviously mean the game with the best animation, not best game with animation, which they all have of course. :P

Only real competition it has there 2D wise is Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, which was animated by Michel Gagné, who worked on many Don Bluth films, The Iron Giant, Osmosis Jones as well as this short film that is well known within the animation land, so they may end up being a little bias towards that, though to be fair it's a fantastic looking game, shame it's not on PSN really.

well, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is smooth, I have to accept it, but it's not as detailed and full of animations as Rayman Origins. Actually, drawing everything in a black environment makes animation easier, so...

@ everyone who has the artbook:
did you look close at the pages with the dragen? This level was meant to be very different at first, as you can see. Maybe the machine is the thing we saw in the ubiart trailer.

soundtrack:
the Mr. Dark tune (from the CD) which is called Boss_Plant should be used for the plant-machine-fight, I think. It really fits there, but somehow it got scrapped. Also the extra bird track (which isn't so great).
@ Droolie: Maybe you can add the background track from daily bubble 3 to Raytunes (the alternative chest chase music). I'm not sure but I think some more tracks from the DBs are not in the game...

@MasterHero & sergiomonty: I'll take a look at it when I get back home from university.

Here's the texture archive I forgot to make yesterday: http://www.multiupload.com/B1L77SJDD2

That means you now have:
1 - http://www.box.com/s/6jj6rql5af2l4m3ghe56
2 - http://www.box.com/s/ilsex758tacbeutd65h8
3 (part 1) - http://www.box.com/s/yotdhlm6jmnbkg1q8zyd
3 (part 2) - http://www.multiupload.com/TG1IPNAR1N
4 - http://www.multiupload.com/UMAOIXYPAB
5 - http://www.multiupload.com/I4AI9EB0YM
6 - http://www.multiupload.com/B1L77SJDD2

This has all the textures (at least the ones I didn't include in previous archives) with names starting with i, j, k, l, m, and n.

EDIT -> Oh yeah, do check out mur_fond_atlantide. It's a great wallpaper. :D
