Eventually you could write them down.

Even more so of a drag to do it all just to start the game. Unless you don't need to repeat it all, I'd give it a try.

But then we'll have to see first if Rayman Arena will run on 64 bit W7.

Whenever I try to run the installer from RM-PC it makes my Win7-64 go apeshit even with compatibility modes. I'll give it one more shot or else I'll just have to install it on my mum's computer just to finish off screenshot taking...

If you install it on an XP computer and then just literally copy over the files to your main one with Windows 7, the game runs perfectly.

Hm... unfortunately, all the PCs in here no longer have XP.

I "installed" RM on W7-64 by literally copying both discs to a single folder. It works (though R2-like resolution hack does not). However my Windows 7 is quite stable for a PC... I believe.

Well, I gave that a try, but any idea on how to make it not look like this?

Gee and this laptop's supposed to have an i5 chip.

Turn off the "Transform and Lighting" option in the DX8 setup app in the Rayman Arena folder. It's not to do with having hardware that's too old, it's to do with having hardware that's too new. The same concept is applied for Rayman 3.

Weird, my not so old card (Radeon HD 4000) has no problems with T&L as in Rayman M. I'd rather say that laptop has an integrated chip.

It pretty much entirely depends on the architecture, which isn't always chronological.

I tried installing like that but every time I tried to run the game it said 'please run the DX8 setup' :(

Have you done that?
If not, navigate to the install folder there should be an executable for DX setup.

Wouldn't that like totally conflict with DX10 though?

Not at all. The DX8 setup application is merely the graphical configuration settings for the game.

The fact that a product is currently unavailable doesn’t mean everyone is entitled to it for free.

He asked whether it becomes legal to download a game when it can no longer be purchased through any official channel. The answer is no.
