I should have mentioned this earlier, but it wasn't even okay to say what Tobbe said in the first place. It crossed the line from amusing to just offensive, and I'm actually offended by it for a similar reason. It would be fine if there had been something else behind it, but posting that for the sake of posting it was uncalled for. Even if the reader hadn't had a bad experience, it wouldn't be looked kindly upon. It's along the same lines as saying straight-out, even if not literal, "I would rather you hang yourself now before you ever post here again."

What exactly was MDT supposed to think of your post Tobbe? All I see is offensive provocation for the sake of offensive provocation.

Oh that's easy, well, if you know a bit about Photoshop anyway. Once you erased the background, lock the pixels on the layer and use the Eyedropper tool to pick colors from the object and carefully paint any odd-looking edges with the colors.

After that, make sure there is no colored background layer while you save it, and always, I mean it, ALWAYS save in PNG format.

is there a eyedropper tool in GIMP?
