Wah, these last few pages have become a bit unrelated and messy!
I'll guess I'll break the tension by saying I got my copy for Christmas! (of Rayman Origins that is
)
Stupid question - I heard that in a multiplayer campaign, other players can drop in and out of the game at any time. Does the same apply if you select 'single player' at the beginning of the game (as in, other players can drop in later on) or are you stuck solo by selecting it?

Nah not really, if a second PS3 controller for example is detected it'll offer the second player to join in and out.Electoon wrote:Wah, these last few pages have become a bit unrelated and messy!

Re: Rayman Origins
Ah, now I just realised, it's kinda obvious why they cut the Tarayzan skin out of the final game. Still don't get why they didn't keep Uglette though.

I'm now assuming this works on the Wii as wellCairnie wrote:

And for all Wii players - what controller do you think Origins plays the best on? I'm really curious because at the moment (as mentioned a few other times on this thread I believe) the only thing I have for it is one Wiimote and a GameCube controller for GameCube games (but currently no memory card
Re: Rayman Origins
I enjoy playing with the Wiimote and Nunchuck.
Anyway, tomorrow I'll start the second half of worlds. Are they noticeably harder? The Ticklish Temples for example? I want to know.

Re: Rayman Origins
I really hate having to hold down the Wii’s B button with the end of my index finger, which is something you have to do constantly in Rayman Origins. The Wii remote is the first and only controller that I’ve ever felt uncomfortable using.
Re: Rayman Origins
This is the reason I'm using the Wiimote and Nunchuck. Do you have a Nunchuck? It's much more comfortable.spiraldoor wrote:I really hate having to hold down the Wii’s B button with the end of my index finger, which is something you have to do constantly in Rayman Origins. Re: Rayman Origins
Well that's good, because a Nun-chuck is one accessory I do have. Darn Wii, why does it have to have such an awkward controller which needs thousands of accessories to make it useable for most games
Re: Rayman Origins
I've told you a few posts ago that I'm sure the best control mode to use in Rayman Origins for Wii is with the Pro Classic Controller. I haven't that accessory but I have intentions in getting it when I'm able to do so. Until there I'll be using the Wii Remote + Nunchuk control mode. I don't recommend the horizontal Wii Remote mode, especially for Time Attacks: the B button (used here to sprint) is not ergonomical.Electoon wrote:

Just a regular Wii remote. I’m not sure if we have one of those Nunchuck things.Haruka wrote:Which kind of control are you using?

No wonder why you don't like the B button in that mode.spiraldoor wrote:Just a regular Wii remote. I’m not sure if we have one of those Nunchuck things.Haruka wrote:Which kind of control are you using?
The second one is a little harder to find but it is hidden under a darkroot.Mr. Dark Thingamajig wrote:Haruka, you said there were 2 Bulb-o-Lums in the shadow area of Hunter gatherer, but i only can find one in the beginning, where's the second?

Re: Rayman Origins
I hate the Wiimote controls for RO. Wiimotes feel so awkward in my hands. That's why I use a classic controller.

Re: Rayman Origins
Oh boy, this game is so fucking awesome! Why oh why did I wait so long before downloading a .iso and Dolphin? Well, because this game looked stupid and not as fun as the previous Raymans... Obviously, I was wrong.
This game is just so much fun. After playing alone up until Over the Rainbow, at which point it crashed and I had to download another .iso. So I began again, but this time my little sister joined in. We played all the way up to the first level of Mystique Mountain, or whatever it's called. Where you get the power to run on walls. We did that in one sitting, without taking a break... The game is that fun.
I have a few questions though; you need 10 Skull Teeth to go to the Land of the Livid Dead, which is guarded by that guy in the Snoring Tree? I so far have 1 Skull Tooth, from the very first Tricky Treasure (?). This leads me to believe that there are 10 worlds excluding the Land of the Livid Dead. Is that correct? And is the Land of the Livid Dead a world, or merely a single level? And what happens in it?
The 'Lum kings' make all yellow lums red, for a limited amount of time, which makes them worth more (how much?). And what are those golden coins? How many are there in each level, and why are they special? Just because they're worth much lums (20? 25?)? And what can I do with lums, by the way? Are they only used for getting those Electoon medals? There are always 3 Electoon medals from cages and 2 Electoon medals from getting a specified amount of lums to earn, in every level? And a final medal, from getting even more lums. Why is that one different, why isn't it another Electoon medal? Is it something special?
And with those Electoon medals, I can unlock Tricky Treasure levels, additional characters, and normal levels (I call them bonus levels, because they're short, have that AWESOME tune (my sister and I sing it constantly
), and contain a plethora of lums). But what if I don't get enough Electoon medals? Then I can't play the 'bonus' levels, and as such, can't get to the final level? Which, by the way, is always a Moskito ride and not a bossfight, which somewhat disappointed me. Are there any bossfights at all? And what are the characters I can unlock? Can I only unlock Teensies? So far, I have unlocked the Teensie that was forcefed hot peppers or something like that, but to be honest, they all suck... Can't I unlock something like Dark Rayman, or the Magician, or Mister Dark, or Uglette, or...?
About Mister Dark... Where is he? Is he the Magician? I once read something about how that story was scrapped, can someone tell me the scrapped story? Is it still canon, although not included in the game? And the current story is that Rayman and co are snoring too loud, at which point someone (the final boss, I assume, if there's any bossfight at all) sends evil creatures to attack everyone? If that's so, can someone please explain the true / scrapped / whatever story? Including any theories or whatever please.
Also, I think (I haven't tested it out) that, once I complete a level, I can go and replay it, and do it in a limited amount of time? Why would I do that? Do I get another Electoon medal for it, or...?
Sorry for the many questions, but, I can't find any information about this game on the internet. Which is a shame, because I'm in love with it.
