Will we ever get to the end of the textures? We're currently up to to textures beginning with 'N', but I can't see there being any textures beginning with 'Z'

Re: Rayman Origins
Rayman (quite obviously) came from Tonic Trouble, because you play as a limbless character, and it was made before Rayman, and it's also made by UbiSoft.Master4lyf1 wrote:NOTE - Not all TRUE Rayman fans have played Tonic Trouble, or Beyond Good And Evil for that matter.Exoquatic wrote:I can't believe it- I couldn't find anyone who had made this connection. And if you knew what Glacier Cocktail was, you would make an obvious connection to the 3rd world in Rayman Origins.
For all of you who don't know, YouTube "tonic trouble glacier cocktail".
I know what Tonic Trouble is, though I have never played it before, and how does one piece of pretty much USELESS trivia define the genuineness of a Rayman fan?
Or for that fact, what other games we play.

Re: Rayman Origins
Are you an idiot? Rayman was Michel Ancel's original character, and the only reason he didn't end up having limbs was due to a mechanical issue, but it turned into a good thing. On top of that, where the retardation resumes, is that Tonic Trouble was released around 1999, and Rayman was released in 1994.Exoquatic wrote:Rayman (quite obviously) came from Tonic Trouble, because you play as a limbless character, and it was made before Rayman, and it's also made by UbiSoft.Master4lyf1 wrote:NOTE - Not all TRUE Rayman fans have played Tonic Trouble, or Beyond Good And Evil for that matter.Exoquatic wrote:I can't believe it- I couldn't find anyone who had made this connection. Re: Rayman Origins
You are incorrect. The first Rayman game came out in 1995, , Tonic Trouble is from 1999 - so a huge date difference thereExoquatic wrote: Rayman (quite obviously) came from Tonic Trouble, because you play as a limbless character, and it was made before Rayman, and it's also made by UbiSoft.
Edit: Ninja'd by Rayfan
Re: Rayman Origins
Tonic Trouble was created because Michel Ancel wanted to use the ideas he had for the 2D prototype of Rayman 2 but couldn't use in the final Rayman 2 because the style was so different.

Re: Rayman Origins
Exoquatic, if you ever use the term 'true fan' again I'm gonna find a way to slap you in the face through the internet with my white latex glove.
Seriously though, you shouldn't have to play every singe game in a franchise, let alone in a different franchise with a vague connection to the original franchise, in order to consider yourself a fan. That's just silly willy.

I played Tonic Trouble before but... I'm not a true Rayman fan because I didn't play other Ubisoft games?RayFan9876 wrote:Are you an idiot? And RayFan is absolutely right. Rayman 1 got released in 1995, and Tonic Trouble in 1999. How are you doing the maths, dude?

But in all seriousness, you should probably check your facts before you start accusing everyone on this forum of not being true Rayman fans...

Re: Rayman Origins
Surely one fan can't be more 'true' than another, that doesn't really make sense does it?
Re: Rayman Origins
It would be the same thing than a person can't be a fashion fan just because he/she never wore Prada. Come ooooon...

Re: Rayman Origins
This topic just got funny.
What really is a true fan? Why can't we all just be the same fans?

Re: Rayman Origins
I think all of us are fans on its own way.
Re: Rayman Origins
Surely someone who doesn't know every version of every Michel Ancel game by heart is not worthy of calling themselves a true Rayman fan. Bow before the Great Flying Poo and apologize in penitence you worthless maggots.
Re: Rayman Origins
DAMN IT! I forgot the name of Michel Ancel's first game. Why did I spend all this money on Rayman games? I'm not a true Rayman fan. I don't deserve to play those sacred video games on those holy discs! I have to throw everything away! I have to leave this forum and I should not come back until I have played all of his games, watched all of his interviews and read every single letter of every Michel Ancel game manual!
