I'm guessing that Rayman lives on by the sea, near the forest.
Which is kinda funny for him to have his house so close to water, because he can't even swim. :D

Imagine if the tide came in further than usual! His house could easily be surrounded by water, by the few glimpses of it that I've seen.
And that would be potentially deadly for Rayman, because he can drown in shallow water.

In the Caves of Skops, there are small puddle-like bodies of water that Rayman drowns in. :lololol:

I always assumed that Rayman lived on a beach that was just off the valley. Actually, lots of sand does surround it, so it would make sense :P.

Never considered the whole issue with Rayman's location and the water before. Poor Rayman XD

Nothing is worse than Rayman advance was but man there's so many quirks; like the wrong music in the wrong places [ie one Bongo Hills part uses the MR SAX theme 0.o], difficulty fluctuating... oh and the photographer taking very flattering photos of you haha.

I got one more think that kinda bothers me about this version... The drums in band land are f*cked up...

Correction, it uses the Mr. Dark theme :P

Yeah, it is super down graded, and probably one of the weakest (if not the weakest) port of the original game, but I like it because it's slightly easier :D. (having said that, I am actually struggling to cope with a grand total of 0 continues right now...)

Urm no it was the Sax theme at the fifth part of Bongo Hills, you must be thinking of another Band Land level or something...

Nah, I was thinking about part 1 of Bongo Hills. As for part 5, I'd have to recheck - but one thing I can guarantee is that Mr. Sax's theme is not in the GBA port at all

EDIT: Just replayed it and the majority of the levels played Mr. Dark's theme :P

The Mr. Dark Theme is one of the two music tracks that plays during Band Land, and it also plays during the battles against Mr. Sax, Space Mama, Mr. Skops, and of course Mister Dark.

I know this because beside the PC version, Rayman Advance was my most played.

Also it's confusing to label the parts in Rayman Advance by numbers, because as many of you know, the first part of Bongo Hills was removed.

Hey, Rayman Advance was the first Rayman game I played (Aside from Rayman 3 on GBA but I've basically forgotten all about that) and I thought it was great!

And... Is it wrong that I love the 'butchered' soundtrack of Rayman Advance?

Did you get the 10th anniversary edition with Rayman Advance and Rayman 3 GBA on the same cartridge? That's the only version of Rayman 1 I've ever played. I don't like the soundtrack though. The first Rayman game I ever played was Rayman Junior. Though I'm still baffled as to whether Rayman Junior or Mickey's Wild Adventure were the first games I played. Anyway both great titles. (Especially Mickey's Wild Adventure!) I still haven't beaten that ol' Mickey game...(That's right I still have it.) As for the first mainstream Rayman game I played...probably Rayman 3 on my cousin's old Xbox when I was like, 5 or 6? I'm going offtopic here but one last thing, when were you guys introduced to gaming? For me it was probably age 2 or 3, because my sister owned the old Playstation. (Not Ps1. Original. I still have it to this day.)

Nah, I got Rayman 3 off eBay and a friend gave me Rayman Advance. :)

I think I played videogames for the first timne when I was around 5 or 6 years old... I don't really remember.

The funny thing is, after playing Rayman 3 for a while, I was familiar with the style and I thought everything in Rayman Advance looked fugly XD But now I love the Rayman 1 style!

I bought a copy of Rayman 3 for PS2 about 6 months ago, and when I got to Desert of the Knaaren I forgot how creepy those shits were. "Spit in is eye..." "Bbbbbrrrraaaaiiiiinnnnnsssss..........." lol. I dun have it anymore, because I traded my PS2 + all games for a 160GB PS3 Slim.
