Thanks Tuna!

Nah, that's an unused basement sink.
Shrooblord wrote:And that's quite the computer installation you have there. At first I thought you hooked up your computer to two screens, something you see a lot of developers do a lot, because it's easier to work with...
It depends what you're doing. Sometimes I do that, though usually I don't.
Shrooblord wrote:and here I am in the tiniest room of my house working on a maybe one-and-a-half foot long screen while you have two massive ones of three feet, some heavy recording gear and a hell of a load of inspiration, I would say (though if I can say so I don't lack that either).
Your screen sounds about the same size as mine, though I have two, but they're not connected.

Shrooblord wrote:Well, great work collecting all that stuff! It must be brilliant to just stroll around your room and go "Hmm... let's see which of these I'll play today."
Keep rockin', girl! :D
Heh, I've noticed that more lately. Thanks!

Oh wtf? No, it's PM. I don't pull eighteen hour shifts. I must have missed that. However I have in the past, because some computers have been so frustrating that they make me want to fiddle with them until they're done.

No. Note how previously in the post she states to work 'till 22:00. Therefore we can conclude she was calculating in a 24-hour system. Following that logic, working from 12:00 (noon) 'till 6:00 (morning) is eighteen hours. But I think she's already made it clear that it wasn't her intention to make the impression she works eighteen hours, though that in the past she has sometimes (woof woof you deserve a treat!).

Was just drumming Stairway to Heaven at school in Music class. That was fun.

PS
What do you guys think of the name 'Umbra'? I thought of a name for a certain shady character and thought of Umber's name, which I find a cool name. I came up with that, then later looked up its meaning in the dictionary (to see if it meant anything) ... and... creepyness imminent... it means exactly what the character is! A creature of darkness with the name of 'shadow' in Latin language.
Earlier in my life I have already made up a name that means EXACTLY what the name implied - in ancient Greek language! I must be somehow hotwired to think of instances of nomen est omen.

Speaking of "Umbra," notice how one of my levels is called the "Penumbra Ocean?" I might make the main boss fellow named Umbra, and the even bigger boss... antumbra.

BTW Revenge of the dark will sooner or later need an official website with a "donate money" page to help with the project.
Unfortunately, that "donate money" button would legally have to be named "donate money to this project if you want me to be sued."
Why would it be illegal to support a non-lucrative project ?

Selling your game would be illegal indeed but I don't see why getting donations would.

Actually when phrased that way you might be right. I figured that because I was making a source of income because of m project that is based off another franchise it would be considered "profiting."

Hey, good news Shroobie, you get your Hoodoo remix. THEDragon's "Sideways" (look in his art thread) is the piper under control by Dark Rayman (and he'll have yellow eyes) that appears whenever a hoodoo would, creating barriers around enemies and such.

EDIT:

After an hour of working on it, the "Sideways" hoodoo music is coming along great!

Noes now don't steal my idea! ... well, as long as your boss is a fish-like character and mine is like a ... well, like mine, I don't care. And no, now I'm not going off to describe him/her/it - before you nick her/him/them. :P

Urkle dirkle durknur?! Sweeeeeet! (insert Cartman face)
Since Sideways will be like the Pied Piper, will he summon nasty little monsters too?

PS
I actually made a song to the Hoodoo theme a while back - also added a verse and a bridge to the original music.

I'll try to leech as little as possible. Either way, the more I leech, the more you get paid (if my ridiculous plan works that is).

Yeah baby.

Really? Do you still have it by any chance? I've never heard any of your music recordings.

Anywho, here it is:

Trax listin in deh vidjeo:

1. "Funky Foreshadow"
2. "The Pied Piper"
3. "Freedom Chant"

Sideways is a character created, designed and drawn by Rayman Pirate-Community member THEdragon. I liked the character enough to incorporate him into Revenge of the Dark, so here's his role:

Sideways is a relative of the Musician, and he specializes in playing various magical woodwind instruments to protect and enhance Rayman's enemies, similar to the job of a hoodoo in Rayman 3 (hence the music). Why is he acting like such a bad boy? Dark Rayman had him kidnapped, as he served as a useful 1337 in making his troops even more difficult to defeat. Once you defeat Dark Rayman, Sideways is set free.

I'm glad you like it! That's honestly the fastest I've ever recorded and produced a song - an hour and a half. :mryellow:

Oui, in this game he'll be a relative of the Musician. Is that alright with you?
