Yes, I missed him ever since I knew he was leaving - I rather disliked Matt simply because he took David's place, but soon after he started to grow on me. I think he rather enjoys being the Doctor and I rather enjoy him being it - I could imagine far worse contestants for the position.
I guess he regenerates either when he's had enough, or the crowd's had enough of him (i.e. view rates drop).

This'll be my second bump here... I just need to talk sometimes, okay? :P

I've played the one-hour trial of the Doctor Who Adventure games and... well, while they're kind of enjoyable, I can really note how they're aimed at a much younger audience - even if they do have that grimness Doctor Who has about itself when it comes to deaths and widespread pain. But it also has the wonderfulness! It has jokes, tension, poozless, amazing settings (Skaro, for one). I don't think I'll be buying the game, since, like I said, I'm not really the target group and I'm not sure I'd enjoy it that much, but then again, I was sneaking around the Daleks going 'I'd screwdrive the hell out of you if you weren't coloured red' or making nasty comments about Amy getting caught by laserfire... again and I was having a good time for as long as it lasted. Maybe if I've got nothing to do for a while, I'll buy it.

In other news, I found this on DA:

The funny thing is that the games are free for brits.
All 5 episodes can be downloaded if your place of residence is in the UK.
So as freebies, I think they're quite good.
Though I don't understand why the beeb made people of other countries pay for them.

Speaking of Doctor Who video games, it seems like the beeb have taken quite the plunge, and a Doctor Who game for consoles is in the works:

Oh wait:
Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock will launch globally, initially on PS3 and PS Vita via the PlayStation Network, in March 2012 with a PC version due shortly after.
Seems like The Doctor just shunned Microsoft and Nintendo. Odd.

BUMP.
Few things I'd like to share.
Finally, a new trailer for Series 7

Rory and Amy will be leaving and will be replaced halfway through this series.
50th anniversary of Doctor Who in 2013, and there will be a celebratory episode as such.
The first episode of the new series supposedly will feature every single Dalek design ever made.

Also whilst I was surfing the web, I came across this:

Not only replaced. There is a chance that Amy will die.

I know, I was trying to avoid spoilers.
From what I've heard [Amy will be touched by an angel and move back in time so she can live with her time-displaced husband (ie. Rory) check this:]

To the people who haven't read the spoiler, definitely don't look up the link.

Woot woot! The Eternity Clock is out. Apparently, it was made with Unreal Engine 3 - that promises good results.
However, I can only seem to find it being available for PS3. :( Does anyone know the link to an Xbox360 version?

What I did find was some negative reviews, such as
http://www.thegamingreview.com/2012/06/ ... ity-clock/

This worries me.

EDIT:
According to GameSpot, the game is bound to be released for PC.

EDITII:
This might not be of interest to anyone, but it's being released for PSVita today.

I don't think there is an Xbox 360 version of Eternity Clock.

You know what my dad got me for my birthday? He had a T-Shirt made specially with the text imprinted onto it: "Angels have taken the phone box" and in the middle a pic of the TARDIS. It's so coooooolll. Also, I got a bow tie. Bow ties are cool!

I can't wait until the next season starts.

Doctor Who is rather good!
I'm just bumping up this legitimate non-record day thread back where it belongs.

Thanks. I enjoy reading about stuff people have to say about it. I didn't know some of the things that came up here.

Has anyone found anything fun since the Aperture Dalek?
I've been watching some reruns of old Dr. Who episodes - some with Tennant and some with Smith - and while Tennant was really great, I mean, really, really great, Smith is also filling in his role quite nicely. I especially love the scenes with him and River Song. It's funny how they did that [reversed timeline thing]. They can keep on expanding into new episodes, and it would still make sense, since [we already saw how it ended, and how it all began], but anything could still happen inbetween.
Also, the new season starts, what, August, right? I can't wait!

And a final thing: I'm getting quite good at that Gallifreyan thing. It's very nice to be able to make something look nice without even putting that much effort into it, considering the aesthetics of the final results.

This is very good...
It has been agonising waiting for the next series, much alone, the series which will lead to Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary.

Don't jump the gun there Shroobie, they did a similar tactic for the Eleventh Hour, where they released a tiny excerpts about a few weeks before the first broadcast.
I'm guessing from what I've read that Doctor Who will return later in August.
