Another thing questionable about the photographer is how he gets into crazy dangerous locations without being hurt.

It's like, Rayman looses twenty and a half lives getting to a certain part of the Blue Mountains, and the photographer is just standing there in the middle of a labyrinth of deadly spikes, not even bothered, just hoping someone will come by and have their photo taken. What? :confus:

And I still have not forgotten about the baby who's hair changes colour.

The muscular dude on that photoboard in front of the photographer is not wearing any pants.
Notice how he holds a surfboard ... right there? Notice how... 'elongated' said board is?
It looks like a penis. And it looks like he's jacking it.

The baby's hair changed colour. I know I've brough this up before, but unless they are two different children, that's kinda creepy. :?

Yeah, like I said - I think it is just a different colouring artist. The Musician's Child isn't the only character in Rayman 1 with an inconsistent colour scheme...as a matter of fact I think nearly every character in Rayman 1 looks different in every drawing :P

Either the artist who did the sprite for the kid thought that his hair was meant to be a baby bonnet (which I originally thought it was when I was little due to the strange colouring) or they were trying to make his hair match his mum (violet), as opposed to his dad (brown)

EDIT: Your post about The Photographer reminded me of this random story I came up with once about The Photographer going on epic journeys with his photo board to get to dangerous locations just to act as a checkpoint for Rayman, while told in the form of an interview . Yes, I am weird. Maybe I should re-create it as a comic some day...

What about if there are two children instead of one child?

Nah, I highly doubt it. Pretty sure both pictures are meant to represent the same character :)

Same here, I believe it is a colour mistake, or different artists. :)

Electoon, that comic idea sounds great :D

Even though that's probably the same character in both pictures, it would still sort of make sense if there were two children, and only one was seen at a time. (But the children are nowhere to be seen in the group picture around the purple table XD)

Another thing I would like to point out is, people were saying there is no way Rayman was younger than in his late teens in Rayman 1 because he is the same size as all the adults, but the Musician's child is obviously only a baby and is half the height of its parents. :fou2:

Can't say I've heard that argument before. Usually I hear people say that they believe he was 6 in the first game - which is rather adorable :)

I actually never considered his age until a couple of years ago when someone mentioned it on the internet. He was just Rayman :P

I already know about the 99 lives cheat, and I'd rather win the game without it (even if it is slightly corrupted or something). Although I'm not sure if you posted that because of my problem, or just because you thought no-one knew it....which I'm pretty sure we all do :P
I have also learnt more about my Rayman Advance problem - noting that it only affects extra lives that were earned by collecting 100 tings, as opposed to collecting a 1up
statue. I don't know about lives earned by bonus levels yet, as I haven't tried it since the glitch began, but I have feeling that would work too. Unfortunately, as 1ups don't re-spawn, I'm still limited to the amount of lives I can have.
Thanks to this though, I am able to keep my game alive. Managed to get to the last part of Eat at Joe's with 4 or 5 lives earlier today , and then messed up . I'll get there eventually....

It's not, theres a 99 lives cheat on the original Rayman 1 versions as well.
I've done it on official hardware, so it's definitely no glitch.

Since we're talking 'bout cheats here, remember the up, down, right, left cheat used to get more continues when you had 3 or lower?

Nope, I'm playing a genuine cartridge via a DS, although I have tried it in an original GBA as well (it didn't make a difference)

How could I ever forget? It was 'up,down, right, left X' or 'up,down, right, left start' depending on the version if I recall. My brother used it all the time a few years ago in an attempt to beat the game on the PS1 - he still failed miserably, even with the cheat :P
