Old Rayman

Post by JLD »

Hi all.

I'd like to know how to play to "Rayman juniors CE1" (in french).
This is the box of the game:

I have it and I have the game too but it doesn't work anymore because of Vista.
This is a very old game from 90's.

Do you think that I should to download the game + emulator or would you think that I only should to download the emulator and use the CD of the game ? :)

Oh no, not Windows Vista - it's evil! Seriously, Windows 7 is so much better :P

But that is besides the point. I think what you need is to use compatibility mode on Rayman Junior. It worked for me with Rayman Activity Centre - so I don't see why it shouldn't with this because they are from around the same time. To get to the option - right click on the game and select properties. Then choose compatibility for either Windows 95 or 98

If that doesn't work, I'd recommend using a Virtual Machine, or Dosbox if it's DOS based

Howdy.

That's an MS-DOS game, so I would suggest you to use D-Fend Reloaded. It uses the DOSBox emulator, but its user interface is much more friendly than DOSBox itself, which requires people to know how to use commands. :)
