Well, I didn't buy Darkspore since it has got a completely different mechanics from the original game.

and mine is still ikke471 as usualShrooblord wrote:Haruka, I just skimmed quickly through some points in you vid, because I wanted to check it out but didn't want to get too spoilt - but it looks like you've really put a lot of effort into it and I'm looking forward to playing it as soon as I can!
I learnt about Spore through the Creature Creator and was really excited about it ever since. I remember making Jar-Jar from Star Wars in that... oh, the hilarity. I got the game as soon as I saw a TV ad of it being out in the stores. Then I was excited about GA as soon as I heard of its existance, got hyped up near the release, disappointed because they shoved the date along another half a year and then super excited again when it came out and came through MAH MAILBOX. And now I also have Darkspore (since the release), though that is not really something that you can compare Spore with - even though the Hero Editor uses the exact same Spore parts, it's of course an entirely different game and has "nothing to do with Spore in any way".exceptthename, thesporepartsandotherthings

Re: Rayman Origins
I can understand. I also wondered if I would like it or not. I'd never before played a game like it and I loved it for as long as it lasted - it's got a good but sad storyline and cool cinematics (even though they are just moving drawings) and I guess it stays fun if you're really good at it, but for me, it lasted as long as the storyline lasted.Haruka wrote:Well, I didn't buy Darkspore since it has got a completely different mechanics from the original game.
Nope, I was pretty much done right there.Haruka wrote:If you want to keep talking about SPORE it is better to look for the topic with the same name, we are going off-topic already.
PS
I just thought of another nickname you won't like: Hari Kari.

I don't know why everyone finds it so annoying, I actually like it.sergiomonty wrote:By the way, when is the Christmas-themed Pirate Community going to stop? those snowflakes are annoying, specially when I move the arrow and they follow it :s

Yeah, but Christmas is over now. Honestly I don't leave my christmas tree to stand until spring begins. It begins to tire when new year nears, just like the snowflakes.RayFan9876 wrote:I don't know why everyone finds it so annoying, I actually like it.sergiomonty wrote:By the way, when is the Christmas-themed Pirate Community going to stop? those snowflakes are annoying, specially when I move the arrow and they follow it :s

I find it annoying because it seems to slow down my computer. Even though I have a fairly fast and new computer.RayFan9876 wrote:I don't know why everyone finds it so annoying, I actually like it.sergiomonty wrote:By the way, when is the Christmas-themed Pirate Community going to stop? those snowflakes are annoying, specially when I move the arrow and they follow it :s

The only reason I think the snow is annoying is that it doesn't pile up and create a heap of snow at the bottom of your webpage, forcing you to scroll up and throw them all around so you can read again. Now that would have been funny.
Re: Rayman Origins
I also think both the banner and the navigation (I'm talking about the detail of the falling snow) should disappear and all returning to normal. Christmas is over since a while.

Hunch and Romano run the technical side of the site, as far as I’m aware.

Actually I really like that ice around the Buccaneer. It looks really nice. Maybe they should create more themes for the PC?
I guess Hunch is busy with other things - patience, friends, you'll get what you want... in July.

Maybe we could do a black banner to appease those concerned about SOPA.
Note, I'm not one of them.

No, Pirate-Community is not an American political entity.

Re: Rayman Origins
Most of the 600 pages we're about to reach for this topic have been discussions that had nothing to do with Rayman Origins - there's more off topic in here than in the Off Topic thread!
I meant to ask this: you know when Origins ends at the end of the Land of the Livid Dead? That nymph sais 'it must have been a bad dream'. Does this go anywhere else other than being a reference to Polokus's way of creating nightmares? Is there a secret ending to be discovered - is there more lore I have yet to learn because I have not yielded le secrets of le script?

I don't think there is a third ending to the game - the goth nymph is the final ending, as anticlimactic as it is...Shrooblord wrote: I meant to ask this: you know when Origins ends at the end of the Land of the Livid Dead? Also, the 'that was a nightmare...thanks!' line isn't actually in the beta script at all - so it was probably added at the last minute

Not sure how you made the leap from ‘that was a nightmare...thanks!’ to ‘a secret ending is waiting to be discovered’.Shrooblord wrote:Most of the 600 pages we're about to reach for this topic have been discussions that had nothing to do with Rayman Origins - there's more off topic in here than in the Off Topic thread!

It definitely is in the script; I distinctly remember reading it there.Electoon wrote:Also, the 'that was a nightmare...thanks!' line isn't actually in the beta script at all - so it was probably added at the last minute
