Re: Rayman (1.5): Revenge of the Dark
Also, I updated the description for the Crying Moor. I think you guys will like it:
The Crying Moor - Rayman returns to the Darklands and once again moves through Fort Night, though this time continues further than before now that he knows where Dark Rayman is. This area consists a junction between the rivers of the Glade, where they meet as a giant lake. It is a burial lake for the dead, and is the source of Dark Rayman's army's life, and has been tainted by the spirits stolen that now inhabit the mechanical bodies of his army. The land, now confused, has a certain lure to it, and it seeks replacements to fill the empty bodies of the deceased. Once Rayman defeats Dark Rayman and ever since, they have called this place the Land of the Livid Dead, named after the betrayal of hopes and rewards promised by Dark Rayman in return for slavery.

Re: Rayman (1.5): Revenge of the Dark
Can't you animate him to do that anyways? And I think he would be much easier to animate with bones for limbs...but it's true that I hadn't thought of that.RayFan9876 wrote: Hello no I haven't. If I added bones to Rayman's lack of bones, how do you think he does all his limbless movements that aren't physically possible if one were to have bones?
And good description of Crying Moor,I love the story you created!

@TK:
No, because like I said, Rayman does many things that are humanly impossible. Are you suggesting that bones can stretch? And thanks.
@Ikke:
Sounds good!
@R3fan2:
Yeah there are, I'll be adding them in shortly.
GOOD NEWS EVERYONE, I finish school in a few days, so from then on I'll be making a lot of progress.

This is the big danger for most game makers. My father gave me very good advice: pick one are of the game, for example a level in the middle of it, and complete it as the game should be when it's done. That means textures, sounds, music, physics, code, everything that would be in the final game too. That'll give you a glimpse of what task stands before you.TheKopex wrote:Otherwise, it could happen that you add more and more stuff to the list and then just lose the motivation.
Of course he didn't phrase it just like that; while he has been to Nepal and has visited some gurus, he's no Yoda.
And Rayfan, I like your new description of the Crying Moor a lot. It's mystical and scary, just like it should be. As for the bones/limblessness thing: if you add bones, you could still stretch them so that his 'arm' becomes longer and so his hand can travel further. You could use some scaling tools to scale them along the x-axis, for example. You can also tell the bones what limitations they have yourself. You aren't inclined to use the physical limitations you would expect when you make a skeleton. However, I'm positive you know what you want and what you want is no bones. Kind of cool to be a pioneer in that area, I guess.

You guys must be having a hard time communicating...TeensieKing wrote:The problem is he doesn't speak english xD
But yeah, my dad's been into videogames ever since they were created. He was even recognised by someone when he went to Germany to work there for a few days... what a strange thing to be able to brag about.

And good to know it gives that feeling Shroobie.
Can anyone think of a batter name for the Ice Volcano? It's a perilously awful name.

It's very contradictory either way.
How about The Impossible Volcano? Frozen Hearth, Iceheart, Frigid Firestarter, Coolflame or Waterllava Eruptormajiggy?
