Re: WIP: Rayman Flash Shorts (Recruting Voice Actors!)
UPDATE: The animation is now over half way complete! Now I just need to wait for Rulez's line and I can continue work
Re: WIP: Rayman Flash Shorts (Recruting Voice Actors!)
I'll give it to you as soon as possible! It's really embarassing for me that all my stuff is either in need to be fixed or completely trashed
Re: WIP: Rayman Flash Shorts (Recruting Voice Actors!)
Okay! Having it in within the next few days would be perfect, but if there are any other problems I understand
Re: WIP: Rayman Flash Shorts (Recruting Voice Actors!)
Over halfway done? Awesome!

I think I know what the problm with my mic is...
Maybe (really maybe) I can do something today!

Re: WIP: Rayman Flash Shorts (Recruting Voice Actors!)
Just to confirm to everyone - yes, the animation is still alive (well, as alive as an animation file can be anyway
). As a matter of fact, it is nearly complete! The project has been temporarily put on hold due to the fact I am completely busy for the rest of the month doing performances (on top of school!).
I'm starting back up in February, where (hopefully) the last line from Rulez should be in, assuming there's no further issues from his side of course.
Stay tuned

I had a dream last night where I woke up to see you posted in this thread and the completed version was up. Now we gotta wait till the next month.
But awesome to hear it's almost done.

No, it's a good thing. It has both hardened me into a cold, stone being, plus this must mean the result will be even better.Electoon wrote:Aw, I feel really bad for having broken your dream! ;(RayFan9876 wrote:FUUU.

Magical, friendly and colourful Disney ideology mixed in with bitter-hearted stone-cold soul? Now I really must meet you at some point in time.RayFan9876 wrote:It has hardened me into a cold, stone being.

Thanks to finally having some free time, as well as some general encouragement to continue from Rulez, I've managed to get a bit more this evening. It's so ridiculously close to completion now! Now it's just the case of finishing off, doing any necessary tidy ups and then contacting people about it (which I may have to do before I make it public, sorry about that
, but, we'll see. It really depends on what direction I choose to take
)

Girl, I can't wait! I'm really excited to see this; I love watching animation of any kind, it fascinates me.
Re: WIP: Rayman Flash Shorts (Recruting Voice Actors!)
Oh sweeeeeet! Great to know it's almost done!
I also find animation quite fascinating.
Re: WIP: Rayman Flash Shorts (Recruting Voice Actors!)
I think I most definitely had too much fun recording the Electoon voice XD

Re: WIP: Rayman Flash Shorts (Recruting Voice Actors!)
I. Cannot. Wait. I've always wanted my voice to appear in an animated feature. That thought plus the fact that I get to watch a cute Rayman animated feature makes me so happy.
Do you have Rulez's voice lines? If you do, when might you be ready for upload?

Re: WIP: Rayman Flash Shorts (Recruting Voice Actors!)
Admittedly I had to re-record the line because I tried working with the version I had and it didn't time properly with the animation. I'm so sorry
! However, your support throughout the whole project has really lifted my spirits and has encouraged me to keep going to the end. I was seriously planning on putting the whole thing on hold until next month, but yours and everyone else's messages have persuaded me other wise. I still feel really guilty for what I did
. If it doesn't make it through, that doesn't mean it's not going online! I'll just upload it as a standalone short on a bunch of places (Probably Deviant Art and Youtube - avoiding Newgrounds if it doesn't make the cut, because for whatever reason they hate me and my stuff over there).
Well, when I've finished off - I'm hoping to get it uploaded as a skit for the next Rayman Randimation, so I've got to find the best way of contacting LighteningLion first (I have a feeling that doing it here wouldn't be the best way as I don't think he is a regular here) and then have it inspected and junkRayFan9876 wrote:when might you be ready for upload?

Re: WIP: Rayman Flash Shorts (Recruting Voice Actors!)
I've always noticed by looking at Newgrounds comments there's three types of people there.Electoon wrote:Avoiding Newgrounds if it doesn't make the cut, because for whatever reason they hate me and my stuff over there.
The comment habitat on Newgrounds is divided in three groups.
1.Trolls. They are generally unhelpful and either proclaim your video sucks, or that it's great because it had two loading bars instead of one. Kind or rude trolls, they're trolls nonetheless. They make up 60% of the population.
2.People who want to get it, but don't get it, and resort to trolling. They make up 30% of the population.
3.People who get it, or don't get it, but then start constructively criticising what they liked or didn't get. These make up a rare 10% of the population.
You've been dealing with the 60% - and unfortunately with the 50% of that 60% that doesn't get your video and therefore wants to gut you for it. Just ignore those coments. Chances are the vids will work their way up the social ladder of Newgrounds and it will pop into the 30% group of people who at least try to get it. Perhaps if you're featured, or if your video shows up in a recommended sidebar on another video that was featured, and it looks interesting, the 10% of actually helpful critics and nice people will come to your vid.
Basicly, post, wait, hope, ignore and love Newgrounds. That's all there is to it.
Re: WIP: Rayman Flash Shorts (Recruting Voice Actors!)
You mean you made your own voice line, and mine won't be in the final product?Electoon wrote:Admittedly I had to re-record the line because I tried working with the version I had and it didn't time properly with the animation.
