Re: Changing the appearance of tings
Well, I do like the lum ideas on the topic icons. Rayman Origin lums ought to look good.

Agree, of course, something new is always cool.Hoodcom wrote:Well, I do like the lum ideas on the topic icons. Rayman Origin lums ought to look good.

Re: Changing the appearance of tings
Sorry for being so lazy guys I do get distracted a lot. I did say I would do RO ranks however i've done a few icons with R2 lums.

Yes I just noticed the edges but I could fix that as well as size.
Anyway the brighter coloured ones are new posts, dimmer ones are no new posts.
Green could be normal topic, yellow could be stickied topic, red could be hot topic.

Re: Changing the appearance of tings
I think there should be a bigger contrast between new posts and no new posts.

Re: Changing the appearance of tings
This look better?
EDIT: As for the corners I have no idea how to fix it since I can barely see them when I go to edit the image.

Re: Changing the appearance of tings

Sorry for stealing your images, but I was able to remove those corners. I only did one lum because I wasnt sure if you would be offended if I jacked your stuff. If you like how that looks I can do the rest of them

When you're in Photoshop or whatever programme you use, place a temporary background of the same colour as the forum, and then remove it before you save.
Re: Changing the appearance of tings
So what'll be the icon for locked topics?

Nyeh it's fine you guys can edit the images if you want, I took them from the wiki anyway.BarkingChaos wrote:

Re: Changing the appearance of tings
I think Purple Lums would be a good symbol for locked threads. They remind me of keyholes or padlocks for some reason. Maybe Silver Lums for announcements?

Re: Changing the appearance of tings
Purple lums do make sense, and I have made one :

I have also attempted a black lum :

If someone can especially fix that one i'd be forever grateful.

Re: Changing the appearance of tings
The black one just needs the edges around it cleaned up, I can't render for shit.
Re: Changing the appearance of tings
I think there was an icon for a Splatted Black Lum in the official icons pack of R3HH. I should search for it, I think it would be great.Serza5 wrote:The black one just needs the edges around it cleaned up, I can't render for shit.

Yeah that'd be much better. The one I used there was actually André with his arms cut off.Haruka wrote:I think there was an icon for a Splatted Black Lum in the official icons pack of R3HH. Re: Changing the appearance of tings
I disprove of this poll. I like my tings the way they are. DON'T TOUCH THEM.
I don't really care if you use lums for other things...
