‘Patience pays off – Watch the real ending’

Since when does Rayman 3 have multiple endings, one of which you need patience to see? Are they adding a post-credits scene?

Since the image shows a black lum and a red one, I think it's about the flashback. Maybe they're splitting the ending so the flashback happens after the credits? That way it'd require patience to see it.

I was just about to ask the same question. Maybe the Red Lums go back to Black Lums and then back into Red Lums...?

Nice achievements, if I get the HD version it will be another guaranteed Platinum trophy for my Sony Entertainment Network account.

Drolpiraat is probably right in here, I don't think Ubisoft would add anything but who knows?

What's also quite intriguing is the "Coin-op gamer" achievement.
Why the coins? And why the play on words with co-op? I think they might be adding stuff there.
EDIT -> Oh, nevermind. It's coin-op for coin-operated. Which old arcade machines were. So it basically just stands for "arcade". Disappointing. :/

Aw man, nothing for kicking turtles or making Hoodlums shoot each other? Or at least beating Reflux the first time without using power-ups?

Anyways, I'm surprised that the 'cover art' to right doesn't suck. I thought that was some sort of rule with these rereleases. :P

Maybe it’s not a flashback after all. In the GameCube version, we hear someone say ‘Rayman, quick, wake up!’ right before the credits. This line isn’t present in the opening sequence at all, so maybe the two incidents were different. This would mean that we still don’t know what originally created André, and that Rayman’s hands re-created André because Globox pleaded with him, which makes sense when you think about it. But if André really does come back at the end of Rayman 3, that doesn’t match up with the beginning of Rayman: Hoodlums’ Revenge, which depicts André regaining his power in a very different way.

I always assumed Murphy said this in the beginning but you're right, it doesn't seem to be in the opening sequence. Maybe he does say it, but the player just doesn't get to hear him say it? Hmm...

Normally I would assume it’s just a continuity error, but the fact that the line was only added to the GameCube port suggests it’s meant to mean something. There were rumours a few years back that a Ubisoft spokesman had confirmed the final scene to be a flashback, but I’ve never seen any source for this, so it may not be true. Anyone have any ideas as to what might have scared the Red Lum at the beginning of the game, if not Rayman’s hands? I’ll get the obvious conclusion out of the way first: it saw Mister Dark’s face.

Since the events of Rayman 3 follow unto Rayman 2, perhaps one of the Red Lums taken by the Pirates was so traumatised by being eaten it corrupted to the core.
