Exactly. This means that you would only get restricted to offline gameplay.

At least digital copies are cheaper than retail copies, and you can play SPORE without the DVD.

I also fixed my issue with Galactic Adventures expansion, apparently I could ask to EA a free digital version of the game to avoid me to use the DVD the whole time to play the expansion. :)

I don't think any stores still have it.. I would suggest buying from bol.com or Origins (the same as steam but then from another maker)

Beware with the versions: SPORE Creature Creator is to exclusively create creatures and share them. The full version is named SPORE only, and it is a much more complete game.

yep that's the good one but I suggest you buy the expansion packs too... because the game is kinda boring without the expension packs (the are called: "spore galactic adventures" and "creepy and cute")

Ikke is right.

After you play the first SPORE for a while, you'll want eventually to get more creature parts with the "Creepy and Cute" Extras Kit (I bought it at the time for 20€). Space stage can become boring too at a certain point, but the "Galactic Adventures" expansion makes the Space Stage being even more fun and enjoyable by playing adventures created by other players. I bought this one for 30€ at the time.

It is, you aren't forced to play in fullscreen mode. :)

In the configurations screen, there's an option to deactivate full screen mode. You also need to select a lower resolution.

It is one of the hardest SPORE achievements to get, probably the second hardest. The Newspaper one is practically impossible for the great majority of the players.

I have the game (I guess you can call it a game to an extent), but I had to uninstall it recently due to my laptop constantly crashing whenever I play almost any game I own for the PC (It sucks, I have like 70+ on this thing! :( ). If not for that though, I'd probably still be playing it.
I really liked the Tribal stage much more than any other, which is subsequently followed by my least favourite stage in the game (Civilization).
Looking at the game's 2006 E3 demo, and comparing it to what we got though, it seems like a major let down. :| And EA and Maxis really started to annoy me and turn me off of the series when they decided to do that horrible Dr. Pepper Bot Parts Pack, which was only available for people in the US. The second time I remember now being in the UK has screwed me over when trying to get something. :pascontent: At this point all of my faith in EA had faded anyway so this was just another nail in the coffin I guess.
EDIT: Oh, and I happen to own the Galactic Edition, Creepy and Cute and Galactic Adventures. If only I could've got my hands on the Bot Parts pack though. Oh well, life sucks sometimes. :|
