:D Yay! I think you'll have a lot of fun with that!

Also, PC demo, ooo! I might have to download that just for fun and to see how Rayman Origins plays on a keyboard :P. Don't know if I'll bother with the full version since I already have it on the Wii, where I like to play, but I'm still so happy Ubisoft listened and did this - it makes me happy that the PC is still loved to a degree :)

I've seemed to run into a problem where the demo is now showing a blank screen, all audio and inputs still work, but nothing is being displayed.
Anyone know a fix?

W-w-wait WHAT?

Indeed... Rayman Origins... For the PC... On Steam...

Now, since I've long ago emulated it via Dolhpin, is it worth... Acquiring, so to say, the PC version? Is it different? And if so, how?

I could find surprisingly little via Google.

I'm presuming it will run a lot smoother then the dreaded Dolphin emulator for one...

Seriously, I hate Dolphin. I once got very close to finishing a game 100% on it before it corrupted my save game :pascontent:

Hmm I think I'll hold out for when the physical version of the PC one is released, me no use Steam.

Just a little warning, when changing settings, do not use 1280 x 600, for some odd reason the game will go blank as I described earlier.
It took me two system restores to figure that out.

I've tested the demo. It is 99% equal to the PS3 demo, the only difference being the unlocked skin (Which corresponds to the Xbox 360 one).

Excellent, it is what I can say. :D I only changed the controls to the ones I use in R1 for PC.

I plan recording a clean walkthrough of it this weekend too. :)

I've played the PC demo now... here are my thoughts:

* it's soooo beautiful!
* the controls in the moskito levels are annoying
* the game seems to run at 60 FPS while my wii version runs at 50 FPS so I had to get used to that
* I want it XD

Holy shit.

I found a folder called "cine_endgame2_0".

It has a folder in it called "mrdark".

...

In it are pictures of Teensoudini. -_- They sure love trolling the nice people who extract their files. :/

Since I had got my PS3 controller working with my PC, I just configured the controls in RO and played naturally.
The game worked 30fps+ though considering it is meant to be played at full 60, it's not completely good, but that is to be expected considering this is being run on an intel gpu, and I am actually impressed that it managed 60 at times.

RO on PC will interest many, but whilst it's no Crysis, a laptop like mine won't give the full proper RO experience.

My bf's downloadling it right now so maybe I'll see this for myself too, meanwhile has anyone had any problems with it? The goobers at the Ubi forums are full on whining.

the only problem I can think of is that the controls for the moskito levels are really hard if you're using a keyboard

I didn't had any problems with the game, neither in the controls.

This was a triumph.

No, this is not a photoshop edit.
No, this is not any kind of realtime texture replacement like Cheat Engine's.
Yes, this is easy to do once you get the hang of it.
Start preparing your custom skins, people.

I was staring at that for like 5 minutes trying to figure out what was weird about it then I noticed it. *fail*

Just realized I forgot to edit his scarf into it.
And the way I drew his hair was a bit weird.
It was a quick edit of course. Just to test my theory that the game is really easy to mod.
Changing pictures, text, sounds and even music is easy as pie.
Oh well. Rayman's origins just got a little appearance in Rayman Origins.

Should I make a bald Rayman skin? That would be even easier to do. Just make his hair transparent and you're done. :P

Go for it!

But rly, someone needs to make a Tarayzan skin. Then we can all lol at Ubisoft because they didn't.
