Re: Rayman offical roleplay
Sideways dropped the apple core into a nearby dustbin and opened up a small cabinet behind the counter. Inside it was a stainless steel wristwatch with a metallic blue face and glow-in-the-dark hands. The owner of it had brought it in to be repaired, but never came back to pick it up. Gently wiping dust off the face of the watch with a cloth, Sideways wondered whether the owner of the watch had died, been moved somewhere far away before picking it up, or simply forgotten about it.

Re: Rayman offical roleplay
Perhaps you could take your and THEdragon's posts and compare them. Do you notice a difference? I'll admit that they're so similar that even I have trouble telling them apart. If someone were to show me both side-by-side, I would not be able to, in my ability, point out who has written what.Raymanarenaps2 wrote:What else was it supose to do????????RayFan9876 wrote:Why are you so obsessed with *antitoons doing useless actions? Hardly. I'm not interested in role-playing, I'm just someone trying to ask a reasonable question.Raymanarenaps2 wrote:At least im contributing to this Roleplay unlike someone who joined a while back (You)RayFan9876 wrote:Perhaps you could take your and THEdragon's posts and compare them. You know what? Just for the sake of contributing, I'll roleplay for one sentence:
Antitoon died.
Re: Rayman offical roleplay
Raymanarenaps2, I think what Rayfan9876 is trying to say is that your posts could use more depth to them. Roleplaying often relies on working with the previous post to work with the story if the characters happen to be in the same area. Very minor actions such as "Antitoon blinked" or "Antitoon walked" don't give other roleplayers much to base their own characters' next actions and/or thoughts on.
What I'd suggest is adding your characters thoughts, emotions, and why they are thinking something, feeling a certain way or performing a certain action. Maybe even include interaction between the character and surroundings to give the reader an idea of where the character is, like when the antitoon ran into the tree, or when he walked over the Sideways' store, thinking it was an odd looking tree.
For example, instead of "Antitoon blinked", a more descriptive alternative could be
Having returned to the clearing around Sideways' clock repair store, Antitoon looked around for any signs of activity. Although he wasn't tall enough to see through the window, he blinked curiously as he could hear someone inside.
See, the example tells us that, now that the Antitoon is back in the area where Sideways is, what he is doing next. It doesn't give bucketloads of info, but it tells us that he is, perhaps, looking around to see if there are any people around. Then it goes on to remind the reader that the Antitoon is only small, so he cannot reach the window of the structure but he can hear sounds from inside it. This gives the owner of the other character (In this case, me) the knowledge that your character is (in a way) aware of the other character's presence. Then I can decide in my next post whether to make my character become aware of the Antitoon, or not notice for now.
I could even go deeper into that example, describing the surroundings, the colours, the sounds, the antitoons thoughts, and even his emotions, but I don't think it necessarily needs to be that long. However, longer and more descriptive roleplay posts are more exciting for the reader to read and work with. Now I'm not trying to dictate how you should or shouldn't roleplay, but I think my suggestions would help you make roleplay posts with more depth, to help build up the story better and give other roleplayers something more 'solid' to work with.

Re: Rayman offical roleplay
Antitoon was furiously masturbating when suddenly Sideways came in, listening to RayFan's music on an iPod Shuffle, thinking ''Man, those earbuds suck''.
Re: Rayman offical roleplay
Which is odd, because earlier Antitoon had died. But okay.
Re: Rayman offical roleplay
I meant his soul. He's into necrophilia.

Re: Rayman offical roleplay
Oh jeez, those last three comments had me literally bent over in laughter.
So I guess then antitoon's dead body was ripped to shreds by swines before being furiously stuffed down the throat of a pelican to bring to their young.

It certainly isn't, THEdragon! Tell us what Sideways does next....THEdragon wrote:I get the sad feeling that this roleplay is kinda dead now. :/ which is a real shame, because I was enjoying it.
Re: Rayman offical roleplay
((Well, if you insist))
Sideways sighed sadly, placing the watch back into cabinet. He hoped the owner would come back for it someday, as it was quite a nice watch, and it still belonged to someone regardless of how long it had been sitting still in a cabinet. Sideways looked down at the flute he had dropped on the counter when he had fainted earlier. Picking it up, he began to recall what felt like an eerie dream he must have had before the clocks woke him up. He vaguely remember being in some kind of flat, endless desert-like area, with white fog in the near distance around him.

You know what? Just for the sake of contributing, I'll roleplay for one sentence:
First of all. How did the Antitoon died
2nk of all why did you join in the first place
Antitoon died.
Re: Rayman offical roleplay
:/ So I guess it's just me then? I don't think Raymanarenaps2 wants to roleplay anymore and I dunno what Rayman fan 2000 is doing.
