What kind of education do you mean?
Also, I spent a few hours modeling a detailed palm tree model. The trunk isn't finished, but the leaves are:
And here's one of those night-time scenes we haven't seen in a while:
Yes, I know there's only one moon, but my double-moon texture (by Spanex) is on my hard drive that's in for recovery. I'm currently running on a backup from October.

RayFan clearly didn't get all the Portal (2) references.
And you and Haruka clearly don't understand what ruining an annoying joke means.
Lol, I looked up "ruining an annoying joke" (with "") on Google for fun and it has no results. Even Google doesn't know!
Anyway, nice palm trees, although I think the leaves should be more at an angle of 45° away from the center of the branch instead of the 90°-ish angle you have now. That will allow you to put more leaves near the trunk so it looks more like an actual palm tree.

Me gusta, sehr! Mi bella! Nice pic! Kurde naprawdę mi się podoba!
Those Tings at night time look really beautiful. I hadn't seen Tings as other things than just blue orbs before; now they really look like Tings!
Also, as you seem to be taking some advice on how plants grow their leaves, why not ask ViHart?
PS I like your sunset a lot, but maybe you can romanticise it a little more; make the colours even more expressive. You want the gamers to marvel at your sunset, right? Or maybe you don't want to draw any attention to it at all - in that case, you could even make the colours a little flushed.
I really like that render right there. ^^
The leaves are still not right though. Right now the leaves look a bit stiff and the end of each branch looks quite weird. Real palm trees have leaves like this:
Notice the leaf at the end of the branch and the angle the leaves have in comparison to the main branch.
Once you achieve that effect, it'll look absolutely gorgeous.
Also, Shrooblord, I actually learned about that in class (uni) but that video explains it in a much more fun way. Thanks for that!
The moons look great!
It's odd how Rayman games change the appearance of their moons - Rayman 2 had a moon with a great big scar running along its side, while Rayman 3 had two identical, skewed moons, Rayman GBC had a moon with giant craters, etc. ...
Spanex wrote:A'magad they are gorgeous! I don't mind that you edited them. xD
Haha, the edits included fading the edges slightly, making the shadowed areas transparent (it blends better), removing the colour and turning up the contrast some (all fairly minor). But it's to be expected right? You can never be sure the first time how something will appear in the engine.
Spanex wrote:If you ever need me to make you more textures, don't hesitate to give me a shout. I really enjoy making them for you!
Really? I do have a couple requests for you then, the first being the texture for the model of this familiar shadow:
I'll PM you a sideview of the model so you can texture it accordingly. I think this will be quite a simple one.

Personally, I think it has to do with the development of the world. Things just kind of change, you know. I'd love to see that scarred moon. It sounds like it could have been something truly unique. I wonder why they scrapped that.
(It almost reminds me of that big chunk of rock floating in space, in a mmorpg called AION. I thought that was the planet's moon. Turns that the planet is actually torn apart into two halves and that "moon" was the other half. I actually thought that was a pretty neat concept.)
