As you come up with more and more rules and exceptions, the idea of any kind of ‘pattern’ becomes less and less credible.

Personally... a Rayman Origins 2 would not be bad. Though I hope they won't go for the call of duty modern warfare tactic, the same game just adding new maps and hardly adding anything new to the engine... though I would like a 3D rayman game to be revealed, that is a-okay, I actually have always prefered 2D over 3D anyways, this will be very wonderful to hear about, I'm excited to hear more info. :D

The Modern-Warfare analogy was basically the same as the Galaxy 2 analogy, so for the moment that's what we're all hoping. I'm quite excited myself (who wouldn't be?), but I feel it might be a slight letdown kind of like Origins. They can either do this right or wrong, there's almost no in-between.

Rayman Origins 2? Well, it's kind of funny how made fun of it some months ago and it's really happening now. Hopefully they will not recycle stuff from the first and make it unique. But personally I was hoping for a new 3d installment in the series. But Michel himself has stated that Rayman will definitly will be back in 3d so that is probably in development too.

That would be R$ 30 (16 USD) more expensive than the first game (they published it here at R$ 99, which should be 54 USD, cheaper than the NA price of the game, 59 USD that is).

Earlier today, the same person said that Ubisoft Brasil would be investing R$ 500.000 (275 grand) on the Assassin's Creed III full localization (that is, portuguese-brazilian dubs and subs).
Am I the only one to find such accurate information (such as the price, the localisation, etc.) extremely suspicious as we know absolutely nothing about the game? The time of the year and the fact that no French or English-speaking media has relayed the information makes it sounds like a good old April Fool.

Rayman Origins 2 just sounds weird. Other than that, they've got a green light from me. But I agree with Hunch; it sounds way too off to be true. Where did this info come from? Some obscure site or the actual UbiSoft Bookface page?

I didn't quite understood the price thing, but I hope the whole sequel is true.

Normally Kotaku is a trustworthy source, and the art director of RO hinted more Rayman coming this E3. I don't believe it was April Fools.

Yeah, other sites would at least have caught on to it by now.

This wasn’t an official press release designed to convey key information; to me it sounds like this guy was just running his mouth. If he was talking informally, without a script, it’s only natural that he’d come out with an eclectic collection of details. He’s the director of Ubisoft Brazil, and it was a Brazilian event, so it’s not so strange that most of the information he revealed was Brazil-centric. If it’s an April Fools’ Day joke, it’s a very strange one.

As for the gaming media’s reticence at reporting this, I expect it’s due to the language barrier. The people at the English Kotaku probably don’t read the Brazilian one, and even if they did, they might have misinterpreted this news item as a joke. It can take a lot to convince these people sometimes; I remember getting lambasted by the commenters on Destructoid a couple of years ago, when I tried to tell them that Michel Ancel was working on a new 2D Rayman game. The media will pick up the story when they’re ready.

It should also be noted that the Brazilian Kotaku posted the story on the 30th of March, not the 1st of April.

I believe in the same.

Plus, what I've read in Kotaku is exactly what Hunch translated. For me it looked quite plausible all the information in the brazilian article. And yes, the article was posted two days before.

If such accurate information about the price and the localisation is already available, it means that the development of the game is already or almost over. So, unless Ubi successfully hid the existence of the game until that big leak, there's no way it can be true.

In any case, it's extremely suspicious.

Hi! I finished RO PC! It was VERY fun! But it wasnt actually better than prievous Raymans. Ill tell first the bad things then the good ones.

The biggest disappointment for me was the story, that was pretty weak for a RAYMAN game. And it wasnt any heart warming like the prievous Raymans. What i really love in the series is the cutscenes. Especially R2 and 3 had very funny, heart warming and genious cutscenes, but in RO there are just very few. I also was disappointed for not to see many characters that i love. Uglette, Carmen and Clark. Carmen would have been perfectly fitted to Sea of Serendipity. For example she could have been ridable instead of Moskito. I like the Moskito flights, but in water...that doesnt make sense. The extra playable characters that are opened with Electoons dont make sense. Just teensies teensies and teensies! Just in different suits. I never play with them. Instead there could have been characters that we love, like Uglette and Clark. I beated the whole game playing with Rayman and Globox

But i loved also many things in RO. The key feature of it is the simple but fun 2d gameplay that mixes old and new and can be played by almost anyone. Its very funny when the enemies turn into balloons that you can pop and do many other tricks with the gameplay. The visual style is also a real food for eyes and the environments look very pretty. One of the most impressive features are the boss battles. There are MANY bosses, that own exactly the size and look that every perfect boss needs (especially Big Mama). They are extremely fun to fight.
My rating 92/100

By the way why are you talking about RO 2? No no cant be true. Just a bad joke. I dont believe that. A 3d action/adventure/platformer of this game generation is missing still from Rayman series and it needs to be made. RO is a very good rebirth of the series, but the series will have to continue. As i said before, i hope they will update the cancelled R4, but the smallest thing i want from the new Rayman is 3D!!! If they want so much to make another 2d Rayman, they can make it later.

Why I have the feeling that when it comes anyday a 3D platformer, everyone will start to complain?

Maybe because complaining is all we're good at. :P
There's clouds in the sky - the day's too dark. It's sunny - the day's too bright. It's 12 degrees - it's too cold. It's 28 degrees - it's too hot. You got a 4 for your test - you suck. You got a 8.5 for your test - could've done better. You're girlfriend's hot - but not as hot as mine. Rayman Origins is way cool - no it's not, it's in 2D. Rayman 4 is in 3D yayayayay - that sucks I was just getting into the Origins style.
