Re: The Assassin's Creed Topic
teh. If anything does happen, the only logical connection to being "the end of time" would be discovering time travel on 12/21, because that would mean our consciences would no longer exist on one linear timeline.
Just another off-topic for a second: Those movies where "changing the past effects the future" is total stupid bullshit, because if we can harness time travel, changing the past would create an alternate timeline, and jumping back to the present would send us back to our own point in time, not this new one we've created.

‘Logical’? What you’ve just said about time-travelling consciences makes no sense whatsoever.RayFan9876 wrote:teh. ‘Parallel timelines’? You mean the science-fiction concept that makes no sense whatsoever?RayFan9876 wrote:Just another off-topic for a second: Those movies where "changing the past effects the future" is total stupid bullshit, because if we can master time travel, we should be able to jump between all parallel timelines, not just ours, therefore changing the past would not affect the future.

It makes perfect sense, read up on String Theory.spiraldoor wrote:‘Logical’? What you’ve just said about time-travelling consciences makes no sense whatsoever.

I am pretty sure that you do not know what you are talking about.

Even if I don't, I probably have a better idea than you, considering I've researched the topic extensively over the past few years.spiraldoor wrote:I am pretty sure that you do not know what you are talking about.
I did lol.DesLife wrote:storage/13483/863277adee83b27db668677d8a8dacfb
Despite our very loose understanding of the universe though, it makes a lot of sense if you put all the pieces together. Everything starts somewhere, and I think this is a very good place to start, considering how many things it explains and how nonexistent its flaws are. Of course it may be completely wrong, but that's how we learn.
Wait, is this still Assassin's Creed? I guess it could be, because it's likely it might touch on some of these topics.

Judging from past discussions, I'm not sure you have a great understanding of physics.RayFan9876 wrote:Of course it may be completely wrong, but that's hoe we learn.

Re: The Assassin's Creed Topic
The only thing I can recall that you're talking about is that meth thing that I was directly lied to about, but that was hardly even related to the concept of physics. I'm obviously not a university level at all since I haven't even graduated, but I'm better with it than most people my age.DesLife wrote:Judging from past discussions, I'm not sure you have a great understanding of physics.RayFan9876 wrote:Of course it may be completely wrong, but that's hoe we learn.

Then would you like to explain how ‘consciences’ can exist outside linear timelines, and how changing the past creates an entirely new universe out of nothing?RayFan9876 wrote:Even if I don't, I probably have a better idea than you, considering I've researched the topic extensively over the past few years.spiraldoor wrote:I am pretty sure that you do not know what you are talking about.

Well sure, compared to you I guess, but considering that most adults can't seem to even remember how to do trigonometry....DesLife wrote:Which really isn't anything impressive.RayFan9876 wrote:but I'm better with it than most people my age.
Well, if you go according to something fairly basic and logical like String Theory, in short, the superior dimension (relative to whatever dimension we're talking about, in this case, 3D-4D) obviously has an extra axis, thus that extra axis is our timeline. Why? Because if we were to look through a 4D perspective, 3D would appear flat, as it exists only at one point along the W (4D) axis, and that one point is our present time. Now the super-superior dimension (to us, 5D) would yet again add another axis, which again would make our 4D timeline appear completely flat. That new axis would stretch out the 4D timeline along the new V (5D) axis, producing not only one linear timeline, but an unlimited amount of different possible timelines, including one where Spiraldoor is a transsexual clown performing in a circus.spiraldoor wrote:Then would you like to explain how ‘consciences’ can exist outside linear timelines, and how changing the past creates an entirely new universe out of nothing?RayFan9876 wrote:Even if I don't, I probably have a better idea than you, considering I've researched the topic extensively over the past few years.spiraldoor wrote:I am pretty sure that you do not know what you are talking about.
With the fifth dimension in mind, that would mean there are also almost an unlimited amount of copies of ourselves existing (I say almost unlimited, because while there are unlimited, there are also an unlimited amount of universes in which we don't exist). However, our consciences are clearly defined to only one, as you and I both live in this same universe in our own defined consciences (insert mentally ironic joke here) and we apparently can't seem to be aware of all the different possibilities at once.
As for "creating a new universe out of nothing," that wouldn't be the case, since we would merely be traveling to other timelines in which this did actually happen, then returning back to ours in its original state.
And like I said before, I'm not going off this word for word, it's just a very interesting and plausible concept.
