Re: Rayman Legends
I just search on every franchise I enjoy on YouTube. After that I'll usually find some games or interviews I haven't seen over the next couple of days.

I wonder if they'll reveal more characters or maybe all of them?

Re: Rayman Legends
True, while the Magician didn't really seem evil or anything, the personality was there. When he offers advice, it's at times a bit snarky, and his lust for lums is put into place at the end when you get the reveal. I'd say just go with the flow on the Magician issue.Mammothphant 2 wrote:@ The Edditaur: I know that Ales was supposed to be a conflicting one, but in at least my opinion they failed trying to make him one. First of all it wasnt explained in the game how he became a Mr. Dark fan. The beta script of Ales past was remowed so it seems that in the final version it never existed and they just simply made him become evil because of...nothing. He also doesnt show any signs of bitterness or anger or any signs conflicting baddies but instead he randomly starts a disco dancing. This is just my opinion. The Magician didnt make senseto me.
Come to think of it, what possible villain could they be saving for Legends?

It was a picture, it never appeared in any video. And just because he's a restaurant owner doesn't mean that he's Joe, it's just a regular hot dog vendor who works in the Land of the Livid Dead.RayTunes wrote: Talking about new designs, did anyone ever figure out what the figure that looked like a sausage was in Origins? If you need a reminder, it was in a three second scene in one of the trailer, which most expected to be Joe... hm, I'd like to see Joe return.
Re: Rayman Legends
I wonder if that sausage sold people in buns.
All I really want to see at the moment is the new characters and storyline.

And I want to see more gameplay to prove that it isn't going to be some gimmick fest and to see the Rayman life in the game
. Let's hope the 4th of June does not disappoint
Re: Rayman Legends
Yeah, I really hope the whole thing isn't based around multiplayer challanges, with just some 'minor side story'.Electoon wrote:And I want to see more gameplay to prove that it isn't going to be some gimmick fest and to see the Rayman life in the game. Let's hope the 4th of June does not disappoint
Re: Rayman Legends
Indeed, that's how the leaked trailer seemed to make it sound. The worlds that I've seen don't look all that thrilling either - I'm getting the vibe of the more mediocre side of Rayman 2 (sorry!*)
*I've decided it's probably better that I apologise every-time a post of mine accidentally turns to "Rayman 2 is pretty meh" (sorry) <- like that

Re: Rayman Legends
As lovely as the worlds in Rayman 2 were, they weren't as surreal and immaginative as the ones in R1, in my opinion.
Back on topic, anyone wondering if there is any chance of Tarayzan's return?

Re: Rayman Legends
Yeah, too much forest overload for my tastes. The Cave of Bad Dreams was pretty cool though, I liked the purple overload going on there, especially in Revolution.THEdragon wrote:As lovely as the worlds in Rayman 2 were, they weren't as surreal and immaginative as the ones in R1, in my opinion.
I personally think Phoenix Studio's "Rayman 4" and RRR GBA had the best ideas since Rayman 1 when it came to worlds.
That would be amazing! Particularly after how close he was to being in Origins. From the brief 7 seconds of footage I've seen though, it seems like they seem to be thinking less about Rayman 1 this time however. You never know thoughTHEdragon wrote:Back on topic, anyone wondering if there is any chance of Tarayzan's return?

Re: Rayman Legends
I hope Rayman and friends keep their abilities from Rayman Origins, it would be pretty lame if they had to learn them again from the beginning in this game
Re: Rayman Legends
Actually, I hope Rayman and his friends each have their own individual abilities. Ubisoft made Rayman the only one of his kind so he would be more unique, but then they gave him the same abilities as Globox and a bunch of teensies?
Re: Rayman Legends
I'm pretty sure that was only done to make each character even in co-op, because it can be quite annoying when some characters have more of an advantage then others when playing with someone else (trust me, I know!). Having said that, a unique ability for each to go along with the basic move sets might be cool (like, for example, Teensie magic having certain effects on enemies different to Rayman's attacks or something - I don't know
)

Re: Rayman Legends
I think that would be most interesting. For example, you would need the aid of a certain party member who has an advantage in a certain area, whereas a different one might have an advantage elsewhere. It would be teamwork maximus.Electoon wrote:I'm pretty sure that was only done to make each character even in co-op, because it can be quite annoying when some characters have more of an advantage then others when playing with someone else (trust me, I know!). Re: Rayman Legends
Ehm... what other example can I use... the Yoshi's Island DS effect? I'm talking about that gameplay situation in which you have to go back to the main area and change your character to continue your journey because that character has the ability that you need. It's kinda annoying, and unnecesary o-o it doesn't add challenge, just makes the game longer and tedious >3>RayFan9876 wrote:I've never played that, so I'm not sure.sergiomonty wrote:Ugh.. the Donkey Kong 64 effect?RayFan9876 wrote:I think that would be most interesting. Hmm, you're right.Maybe it would just be "easier" with certain characters?sergiomonty wrote:Ehm... what other example can I use... the Yoshi's Island DS effect? Re: Rayman Legends
Well, maybe, that would be interesting
The "change your character" effect was used once in the GBA version of Rayman Raving Rabbids with rayman's disguises... and it kinda sucked.
