They're not gonna stop.

Post by Smega »

Several countries including China and Russia are trying to strengthen the ITU (International Telecommunications Union) which will give governments even greater control over the Internet. What's worse, they won't make any of their future negotiations public, some of which will have a severe impact on our freedom of speech, privacy, free info, and such and such.

Stop this madness. This isn't Sparta.

Ahahaha, yes perhaps, but this one should be for real and not a lie.

Oh great, a petition, I'm sure some names on an Internet page will change everything. Let's save the world.

They actually often end up in millions by the end of it, they do make a difference. It's not a huge difference they make, but still. And if you're not in the mood for their emails, why not mark them as spam?

Anonymous will use a DDoS attack to take down one or two government sites that hardly anybody ever uses. It’ll be back up after a couple of hours. Then they’ll get bored and go back to posting on 4chan and playing Modern Warfare 3.

These bills can never pass. If they do, the US will instantly crumble pretty much. That being said they can, but it would serve them right in a backlash!

*sigh* I'll guess they'll never stop with those kind of shitty bills.

I'm sure they just want to take over the internet for their own profit. It still pisses me how they do those stuff in our backs, though. --

Thanks, I do appreciate that coming from a level-headed individual such as yourself.

In seriousnessissity for a seccond, it could be a major teetering point for them at least. Many businesses would fail that rely on the net, and it could just as easily begin continuous riots and such. Shutting down Google isn't a small deal, considering that's what many of these bills are trying to do. People wouldn't let something like this slide so easily, considering it is enforced by one country that many people dislike that is also renowned for making amazingly stupid decisions, and it effects everyone in the world, not just themselves.

The people behind this do not even understand what they're dealing with, nor have they probably ever used the internet before.
