Also you can see an xbox controler always, when the controls are explained. The wii U is only the main target plattform, I think.

I don't know how to break this to you, but it's actually a Wii Classic controller, continuing with the themeMasterHero wrote: Also you can see an xbox controler always, when the controls are explained.
Also, I've only just noticed the nice little touches of the rats, bats etc. moving around in the foreground and background in the indoors section. Really reminds me of the the touches put into the dungeon level of Rabbids GBA. Actually, the whole area reminds me of that level....
Re: Rayman Legends
I remember once thinking 'What if Rayman 1 and 2 characters met each other?" when I was little (probably 6). Me and my brother tried to come up with a story involving Razorbeard and Mr. Dark teaming up, resulting in this happening, but we didn't know where to go with it and stopped, probably because we were both quickly losing interest in Rayman 2 and it's lousy PS1 port

Haha thats such a cool idea, I used to draw all the bosses from rayman 1 in different scenarios, like once I drew them all at a christmas party XD Yeah i was weird but god I love those villians, hopefully theres some top notch bosses in Legends because overall I was kind underwhelmed with the bosses from origins :'( Also yeah that port was hella bad, I originally played it on PC and when I bought the ps1 version I shed a tear or two..

I was underwhelmed too. The only one I actually found really challenging was Big Mama. The rest could be easily defeated in three or four tries.

I am impressed, BTW, here are some screenshots:

Please, do enjoy!

Re: Rayman Legends
Looks like the Land of the Livid Dead might make a return. The 6th image reminds me of the Cave of Bad Dreams from Rayman 3 for the GBA.
Re: Rayman Legends
Well, that's the second comparison made between Legends and the Rayman GBA games on this page! I guess I'm not the only one

Rayman 1- cages are EVERYWHERE, finally, no more secret roomsspiraldoor wrote:So far they haven’t shown us anything from R1, R2 or R3, but a lot of RO stuff seems to have been included.
Any thoughts on the enemies – Livingstone pirates? I love the big spindly-legged monsters in the background – those are brilliant.
Rayman 2- Teensies are the victims, they give you extra score if you free them all.
Rayman 3- You have to beat every enemy onscreen to go to the next room, that's awesome.
Oh, and btw... More than pirates, those lividstones look more like some sort of invader barbarians. They're ok, though not creative at all. Oh!! and it's good to know that someone else noticed those weird rock monsters with long legs, they're incredibly creative
DID ANYONE ELSE NOTICE THE BONY ARMS IN THE LAND OF THE LIVID DEAD? jesus, what an obvious reference to Jano!

Could those bare resemblance to the surreal art piece you've posted a few times, with the sepia tone and the animals high in the sky, walking across the orange land with ridiculously long, spindly legs?spiraldoor wrote:I love the big spindly-legged monsters in the background – those are brilliant.
Re: Rayman Legends

Re: Rayman Legends
Uhm... but the presentation was too short, they didn't even talk about the toys... and if you notice, they used an old prototype of the WiiU gamepad... What if nintendo didn't allow ubisoft to show more...and they're actually going to show the rest of WiiU's features for Rayman Legends tomorrow at the NIntendo conference!!?

Just speculations... it's always good to have hopes
EDIT:
Bad news for some people around here...
Rayman Legends officially confirmed to be a Wii U exclusive
Don't worry guys... I'm sure that Xbox 360 will get it's own version soon... it could be compatible with that Xbox Smart Glass crap...

Rayman Legends officially confirmed to be a Wii U exclusive
http://venturebeat.com/2012/06/04/why-u ... interview/Xavier Poix: So just to introduce myself, I’m Xavier Poix, I’m the managing director of the French studios. We have three main studios in France. The biggest one is in Paris, where we do the Just Dance games, we do the Rabbids games, and we just finished Ghost Recon recently. We have another studio in Montpelier dedicated to action-adventure games. In the past, that’s Beyond Good and Evil, King Kong, Rayman, the Rabbids as well. They’re developing Rayman Legends, which will be shown at E3 this year. And another title called Zombie U, dedicated for Wii U, I’ll speak again about that. And the last studio is in Annecy, where we are developing the multiplayer for Assassin’s Creed, four years now. Each studio has its own specialty, but this year, what brings us to E3 is the Wii U. We have developed for two years now, working on a few titles. Game one is Zombie U that we’ll announce tomorrow I think, at our conference. That’ll be shown at the booth obviously. It’s dedicated for the Wii U, dedicated for the new game pad of course. And on the mature level, dedicated for adult gamers. We then have Rayman Legends, which is a Wii U exclusive title on the Rayman brand. Just Dance won’t be specific to the Wii U, but we have specific features for the Wii U, later on we’ll explain exactly what we will have. And the Rabbids, which is an exclusive game also, Rabbids is a party game, this is a party game for the Wii U. We also have other titles, coming from other studios. We have eight titles for the Wii U.
Don't worry guys... I'm sure that Xbox 360 will get it's own version soon... it could be compatible with that Xbox Smart Glass crap...

ehem... Legends.
little mistake
Re: Rayman Legends
I'm not planning to buy a new console any time soon. So if this is true, then suck it, Legends!
I can't say much else right now.

Re: Rayman Legends
LOL I think I'm gonna be the only one in this forum who's gonna play Legends
Re: Rayman Legends
This would be pretty saddening news, but from the video I can tell they really bring out the best from Wii-U's pads. I love the gameplay and the way it synchronizes with the music, but I'm not ready to pay the price of that console just for a single game...by the way, I don't even have enough people to play it in a full Co-op, and from the looks of it, co-op is even more important here than in Origins.
Sorry Ubisoft. Will have to skip this one. Doesn't mean I'm not super excited about the game though!
