Re: Rayman Legends
I might stop watching stuff for legends from this point forward, I dont wanna make another mistake like i did with unhcarted 3 and basically watch every "omg epic" moment before playing the game thus leaving me with an experience with little suprises
But its so hard not to when your hyped!!

I have that feeling too. I am all hyped up for this game!!!Bzzit wrote:I might stop watching stuff for legends from this point forward, I dont wanna make another mistake like i did with unhcarted 3 and basically watch every "omg epic" moment before playing the game thus leaving me with an experience with little suprisesBut its so hard not to when your hyped!!
Re: Rayman Legends
Yeah, I too often have this spoiler problem with video games. It definitely happened to me with Sonic Generations, and to a certain extent Origins too (although I was still taken aback by a lot of the final product and the individual level designs so..). I deliberately avoided it with Sonic 4 Ep 2 and that helped. I'm sort of just dopey following along with Legends at the moment since a PC version hasn't been announced and I can't even play other wise
, but I don't want to overdo the spoilers too much (although I'm pretty sure everything we've seen on Legends will be mysteriously missing from the final anyway
)

Re: Rayman Legends
Uhm, I think I'll start avoiding the spoiler when it's neccesary, I won't avoid anything right now, because I think I have not enough info like to buy the game just like that. A new trailer would be enough.

Re: Rayman Legends
All I said was that if you don't want to be spoilt at all, you shouldn't watch the trailer. The trailer will give some things away you'd rather have seen first-hand in-game. That's inevitable. True, if you want to know what the game is basically about, watch the trailer. That will sometimes help you. I never stated the contrary. I just said that you shouldn't watch the trailer if you don't want to be spoilt. And you shouldn't be hurt that you were spoilt if you do. It's your choice to watch it. They'll make the trailer as exciting as they can, to get you to buy the game. If that means showing off the final boss fight, then that's how they'll do it.sergiomonty wrote:Sure, I'll buy a book without reading the title or seeing the cover because I don't want to know the ending, you're incredibly smart.
There's a big difference between being spoiled and watching a trailer, you know? The trailer is supposed to tease you, to make you smell the food before it's served, it's just there to show you how the game is gonna be like. A spoiler, however, reveals you the full plot and how the final battle is gonna be, which was the big mistake that Rayman Origins made.

Re: Rayman Legends
I don't mind getting spoiler as long as it's only the stuff Ubi shows before the game is released. When the game is out, I'll just leave for a while.
Re: Rayman Legends
The first origins trailer was fine since like none of the stuff in there made it into the final game
, wish it did though there were some beautiful enviroments and scenarios

Re: Rayman Legends
The final version of Origins was great but i actually had preferred the cancelled one. It had told the story of how Rayman and Globox met and became the heroes of their world. I really wanted to know all that. The manual of RO tells something about their origins, but not much.
They could have kept at least the original fight with Big Mama in the Mystical Piques. The fight in the final version was too easy and short which is shame because Big Mama makes an extremely impressive boss. Plus the original Big Mama was voiced by MICHEL ANCEL.
I hope the dont scrap too much stuff in Legends like they did in Origins.

Re: Rayman Legends
How can you know that? You’ve played the final game in its entirety, but you’ve only seen a few brief clips of the ‘cancelled one’ (which in reality was one of countless incremental iterations in the game’s development). Comparing them based on this is ridiculous. This is a simple case of the grass always being greener on the other side of the wall.Mammothphant 2 wrote:The final version of Origins was great but i actually had preferred the cancelled one.
How can you judge the alternate boss battle when all you’ve seen of it is a five-second clip of Big Mama roaring?Mammothphant 2 wrote:They could have kept at least the original fight with Big Mama in the Mystical Piques. They will. Ubisoft Montpellier scrap plenty of content from each game they make, just like every other game development studio in the world. The weakest parts of the game are generally sacrificed to allow the developers to focus on what’s important.Mammothphant 2 wrote:I hope the dont scrap too much stuff in Legends like they did in Origins.

He has an active imagination, this Mammothphant. It's hard to learn how to swap imagination with logic when needed, or make them work together, but it's ultimately useful.

Re: Rayman Legends
I wanna see mr stone, sax, space mama etc return as bosses, would be cool to see them in this new artstyle, actually levels from rayman 1 in this art style would be awesome, maybe DLC or something

Re: Rayman Legends
Not only would old bosses from Rayman 1 returning is a great idea, but how about a version of Rayman 1 using the 'Legends art style and combat system! Oh, You're slick one, Magoo!

I really dislike Mr Magoo. It's some of the worst slapstick I've ever seen in my life.
I also don't get the relation it has to your post.

Re: Rayman Legends
Mr Magoo wasn't even funny, he was awkward and pretty hard to watch without feeling pity rather than desire to laugh.
Re: Rayman Legends
I did it because I've been watching The Mr. Magoo Show lately (I'm running out of things to watch on Netflix instant streaming) and I wanted to see what the reaction would be attaching Magoo related.RayFan9876 wrote:I really dislike Mr Magoo.
