Re: Future Rayman games
3D is irritating. I rarely ever use the 3D slide on my 3DS, even if I can handle with for a full hour or so.

When it comes to 3DS 3D, I never use it. It irritates me after five minutes, and my left eye is offset so I need to hold it a foot and a half away for it to even work.

I don’t like it when people attack things they can’t have. 3D doesn’t entirely work for me either, but I let the people with superior eyesight have their fun.Master4lyf1 wrote:I was asking for that, wasn't I?
In honesty though, that's what I think of 3D, some might enjoy it, but I just can't, it physically sickens me.

Oops, I didn't have time to read well the posts (as you might understand the consequences of a Record Day).
When I have the opportunity to see a 3D movie I watch. I watched Avatar in the cinema with 3D glasses, same thing for UP.
In my 3DS I always play with the 3D view activated.

Its pretty cool (at least for me) since it adds more visual impact. For example in Avatar, it was cool the last moments of the movie with the war between humans and the Na'Vi: some explosions were so realistic that it even looked like there were pieces of destruction projecting against the spectators in the whole cinema room.

There's only so much conversation that can be made before we start to go off topic, if you were to read the official topics for each game you'd notice that going off-topic is rather common.skellydude7 wrote:Remember this is a forum about "Future Rayman games"
Re: Future Rayman games
Not to mention that the staff is here to see who is going too off-topic for real.
I would find interesting if Ubisoft planned later a RPG Rayman game with a similar gameplay system of Paper Mario.

Re: Future Rayman games
After Legends I want to see a return to 3D, preferably a game like rayman 2. I think they should tone down abit on the wacky aspect, sometimes i question if rayman and his chums were possessed by rabbids these days
Also the return of both Ly and Clark would make me very happy indeed.

I wonder if this'd work at all, or if it'd fail miserably. I'm not sure if the Rayman universe is suited for a big talks, like RPGs (usually) require.Haruka wrote:I would find interesting if Ubisoft planned later a RPG Rayman game with a similar gameplay system of Paper Mario.

Re: Future Rayman games
RPGs usually require far more intricate stories, I'm not sure how the Rayman series would approach this.

Re: Future Rayman games
I dont agree with the RPG idea. In my opinion its too complicated for Rayman. For me the way the future Rayman games should be like is open action adventures with many elements, like Rayman Revolution and Beyond Good & Evil.

Re: Future Rayman games
Rayman is about jumping around and collecting sparkly stuff while looking at cool backgrounds and listening to weird music. That is almost the entire attraction of the series. An RPG is a bad idea; even Revolution was more complicated than it should have been.
Re: Future Rayman games
That was basically the same case for Mario but they managed to pump out a few awesome RPGS based round his world, Raymans universe would suit the RPG genre much better than Marios actually. Still im unsure about the concept, would be weird giving rayman more than 2 lines of dialogue in a gamespiraldoor wrote:Rayman is about jumping around and collecting sparkly stuff while looking at cool backgrounds and listening to weird music. Re: Future Rayman games
I also hope that they will keep changing action in Rayman games. For me one of the main attraction in the series is that the action in Rayman games dont repeat itself but changes. Not just running and jumping but also flying, swimming, receiving help from friends like Globox, Sssssam, Carmen etc., riding vehicles like the warship, armaguiddon, Kaags legs and much more.
Re: Future Rayman games
I see your points, you guys are right now that I'm thinking better: it would indeed require a lot of talking and it would require a big variety of fauna in the Glade of Dreams (much minor to a Mario game for example). The only single player RPGs that I enjoy are Mario ones, so I agree. It was a stupid idea of mine, it wouldn't really work at all. Afterall Rayman is much more recognized by the platforming department than in the other games (lets not count the minigames of the Rabbids, ok?) I admit I only thought in this at first because of Rayman's team in RO and their adventures together and the possibility of co-operating in attacks. I didn't really think in the rest (boy I must be tired today
).

Re: Future Rayman games
Yes, thank you! I've never been able to understand why some people are so desperate for a Rayman RPG in the first place. To me it makes about as much sense as wanting a bowling game based on Need for Speed.spiraldoor wrote:Rayman is about jumping around and collecting sparkly stuff while looking at cool backgrounds and listening to weird music. Mario is so insanely popular that you can build almost any sort of game around the franchise and still expect it to sell. This isn't at all the case with Rayman, so suddenly going off into strange new directions like that is probably going to end in failure.Bzzit wrote: That was basically the same case for Mario but they managed to pump out a few awesome RPGS based round his world, Raymans universe would suit the RPG genre much better than Marios actually.
