Please vote before July 15. Once the quarterfinals are over, write-in suggestions will no longer be taken.
As a 3rd party character, Rayman isn't a bad option for inclusion. Ubisoft seems to have a good relationship with Nintendo, and the company has profitted off the Wii, and shown an interest in the Wii U with Rayman Legends. With enough support, he could even be considered to appear in SSB4. Rayman also fits the criteria the developers set up:
-Character must originate from a video game and have appeared on a Nintendo console.
-Character must be unique.
-Character must fit with the style of Smash Bros.
-Character must make people want to play as him/her.

The results from the quarterfinals are in, and based on the candidates currently in the semi-finals, Rayman didn't get enough votes. Thanks again to all those who voted for him.
