Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
Oh... You're so lucky... My computer's getting slower during the playlist, so I stopped at Dark Rayman's freedom theme.
BTW Rayfan: I've changed up my mind. MOSKITO'S THEME IS MY FAVORITE!!!
I just can't wait to listen to the others... Currently listening to Moskito again...

Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
Hey RayFan, playing Crash Twinsanity has given me some inspiration about how you can make music. If you listen carefully to its tracks, you will notice ALL instruments are actually vocal. The drums are guys going 'pssh' 'poom' and 'tsk', the guitars are heavily distorted 'pu's and there's even people squeezing their lips together to imitate trumpets. Do you think you could try a track like that? You don't have to include it in the actual game - though maybe you can, but as an easter egg - but I suggest you try. It's great fun and a good exercise, I thought.

I believe the group behind Twinsanity's music were called Spiralmouth, according to Wikipedia, they're a "Capella" group.

Are they Irish? Do they like Rayman? ...Master4lyf1 wrote:Spiralmouth

I saw an Irish shop when I was in France. (Yeah, you might be wondering how much sense this gives)Shrooblord wrote:Are they Irish? Do they like Rayman? ...Master4lyf1 wrote:Spiralmouth
Look what I had in my YouTube mailbox: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9AH3Z_cnJE&feature=em-
I hope it will make the day of everyone, there are people that really have nothing to do in summer holidays.

I'm sure a few people here are familiar with TrueAssassin. Even though he's a troll, he's actually quite funny.
Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
I wonder if him and RetroCartoonGamer are the same person. This last one uploaded in his channel a video of mine (with visible watermark, but I think he put the 3D effect in purpose to disguise it), but he apparently thought I was "innactive" in YouTube. I think he pooped himself when I started commenting his video, he deleted it and blocked me.

Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
I also know RetroCartoonGamer. If my memory is working at the best of its ability, I think he was a childish twat.
But no, they aren't the same person.

I hope he behaves well and doesn't steal my videos again.

I'm sorry for asking, but did you see my post at the bottom of the previous page?
Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
Jessis, I had a stage in my life when I was obsessed with Spiralmouth. The hilarity came when I actually called Spiral "Spiralmouth".Shrooblord wrote:Hey RayFan, playing Crash Twinsanity has given me some inspiration about how you can make music. Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
Ah! No I didn't see it.
They're the same project file, I just removed the filter, slowed it down and replaced the 'Ooohs' with lyrics in Don't Forget Us. How come? Well, you may notice that I've done this sort of thing in with other tracks as well, sequentially; take note that Glaciation Bay is before the Shrine of Myre, which is before the Temporal Palace - they're only two levels apart. It's sort of a foreshadow, which is what I've done with other tracks before and different 'motif themes.'
Each theme in the game represents something, and sometimes they're even intertwining. Some examples would include:
- "Death" theme (repeating melody) Part 18's Un-peccable Timing, Sir, Part 27's Suspension of Disbelief
- "Loneliness" theme (full thing): Don't Forget Us, Part 28's A Crack in the Floe
- "Inspiration/Love" theme (ascending 4ths): Some ROTD Concept Arts, Fun in the Snow, part 20's Hellstorm Harassment, Part 27's Ice Dance
- "Peril" theme (rapid up-down notes): Part 16's Soar Me to the Present, Part 17's Shadowed Sea Serpent Part 24's Phase Five, Part 25's The Frame Game, Don't Forget Us, Part 28's A Crack in the Floe
- "Epic" theme (church bells & strings): Part 12's Race of a Legendary Misconception, Part 22's Omniscient, Part 25's The Bridge and The General
- "Mystery" theme: It's the main two motifs of the game. Reference to the end of Part 24's Grand Theft Amigo and Part 6's Plum Ride for the clearest examples; they're present in places in nearly half of the tracks, sort of like how Rayman 2's theme was.
That's not all of them, and I've probably forgotten quite a few tracks in there. But those are the more notable ones.
So there's a lot of connections like that, and they're all there for a reason.
Interesting, though it still makes me feel quite iffy about it. I'll keep that in mind and look into it even more.Decidetto wrote:Hey Rayfan, about the problem of the similar music again: ever heard of a "Jimmy Hart Version" of a song? It is an original song that is suspiciously similar to a well known song, but it can be used without having to worry about paying rights, because it is not the EXACT same, y' know?
I actually created A Crack in the Floe before Don't Forget Us.Decidetto wrote:Well, I finally got around to listening to the latest soundtrack part and, since most of the tracks are rather ambient, I don't have much to say about it (though "First Dawn" stood out!). However, when I came by "A Crack in the Floe", it struck me that it is basically "Don't Forget Us" without vocals! Does this area have any story connections to the Temporal Palace then?

Even if he does come to the forums, it's like entering a war against 50 tanks with no armor equipped, won't last long.Master4lyf1 wrote:And yet someone mentioned it in the comments of the stolen vid.Rayfist wrote:It's a good thing he doesn't know about the forums.
