He maybe didn't read that we were talking about that before.
Well, I can say again that I'm neutral about Barbara. Since humans in a Rayman game aren't that strange for me (because it happened in previous titles/merch) I'm simply neutral.

Re: Rayman Legends
I feel that Barbara is underrated as much as Rosalina from the Mario Galaxy series is overrated... I mean, come on, is the exact same model of princess peach with a cold personality and a emo haircut, and people still think she's hot! geez. Barbara's design however is decent in comparation with Tily, who's design looks like an aborted baby with Ly's skin. At least ubisoft tried something new by adding a barbarian, I mean, they had giants, fairies, nymphs and stuff, why not barbarians? yeah, they might not be "magical" or anything like that, and yeah, they existed historically, but they also formed part of mystical stories and mythology. In fact, I would dare to say that hunters don't fit rayman's universe, but rayman's universe is not just magical creatures, jungles and fairies everywhere... it is also an abstract world, with goggly eyes on everything, gigantic musical instruments, dark structures, cities made out of giant pencils, and of course, candy mountains.

I like Barabara. My main problem was with the environment and the music, which were fairy crap in my opinion.

In the story, it is written that the paintings found by Rayman and his friends are all in the same tent. I don't know if they are the work of the same person, but it seems that the artist(s) was/were inspired by the inhabitants of the Glade of Dreams to create the characters of the paintings. Some of them are identical to their model (the Teensies) and some of them are different: The Lividstones are bandits, and not explorators, and the Livid Dead play electric guitar on flying coffins (unless this scene in the video takes place in the real land?) Barbara can be too a character based on a person who live in the Glade of Dreams too (Betilla? Another fairy? Another person?) Or she can be an original character, created only for the painting.
I wonder if the artist(s) will appear in the game, and if they will play a role in the intrigue...

Re: Rayman Legends
The only Kirby games with such plot were Kirby Canvas Curse (or Power Paintbrush in Europe) and eventually Kirby's Epic Yarn.sergiomonty wrote:What if the artist is the bad guy?RayFan9876 wrote:That right there, I really like that idea.boomboleros7 wrote:I wonder if the artist(s) will appear in the game, and if they will play a role in the intrigue...like... the evil magician with the paintbrush and...!! ok... it sounds like the plot from a Kirby game.

Re: Rayman Legends
The Magician... I'm not sure he could be the bad guy of Rayman Legends... Until now, the developers have never called back the same antagonist of Rayman in the major games of the series. That's why Mister Dark and Razorbeard have never come back. I don't know if they will change this in the next game.sergiomonty wrote:What if the artist is the bad guy?like... the evil magician with the paintbrush and...!! ok... it sounds like the plot from a Kirby game.
Furthermore, there is a possibility that the Magician is dead. But it must be confirmed.
Re: Rayman Legends
Then how it is explained the magician hat in one of the footages of Rayman Legends that we saw? He might have survived by a miracle or anything. Rayman and his friends survived to the explosion of the Moody Clouds for example.

I think hes alive, but he might be dead. I believe hes alive because as all main antagonist in the series always escapes never really dies.
And Razorbeard appears in The Gameboy version of Rayman 3. And Mr dark appears again aswell, but only in gba version 1 and the Educational games of Rayman 1

Yes, BUT Reflux wasn't the main antagonist was he?Haruka wrote:Reflux died in Rayman 3.BzzitTheMoskito wrote: I think hes alive, but he might be dead. I believe hes alive because as all main antagonist in the series always escapes never really dies.

Andre was the main antagonist
Re: Rayman Legends
In case you don't know, Reflux is the true villain of the game (even the in-game information when you screenshot Reflux describes that). He fights Rayman twice: in the middle of the game and in the end. You don't fight with André at all, but he is only a "villain" because he is a corrupted Red Lum.

Ahh ok. I guess i misunderstood the concept of Andre and Reflux
But still it is typcial of rayman games that the villain escapes. Am I right?

Re: Rayman Legends
Dark, Razor, potentially the Magician, hmm, it's kind of 50-50 at the moment, so I can't say it is typcial.BzzitTheMoskito wrote:Haruka wrote:In case you don't know, Reflux is the true villain of the game (even the in-game information when you screenshot Reflux describes that). Still, I'm not as well versed in the franchise as Haurka, she's played more Rayman than I did.
