Livid Dead enemies are easy to beat. Especially those fat grannies
The enemy that first appears in that place.

Re: Rayman Origins
Livid Dead enemies are just as hard to beat as any other enemy: you smack them once and they're down. What are you talking about?

The grannies wait a second to hit Rayman or his friends.

Have the 9th Skull Key. Only 2 electoons away from the last Ticky Treasure before the Land of Livid Dead!

Last Ticky Treasure eh? Maybe best you carry some pesticide to prevent yourself from an infestation.Yoshidude99 wrote:Have the 9th Skull Key. Only 2 electoons away from the last Ticky Treasure before the Land of Livid Dead!
Joking aside, good luck!

Re: Rayman Origins
Hmm, consider that you might find the Land of the Livid Dead to be easier than you may think, after all if you do make it to that point you will have completed all of the tricky treasures (and therefore mastered the jumping controls) and said Livid Dead Land is not really that much of a jump in difficulty (imo), both compared to the last few tricky treasures and the harder sections of Moody Clouds. Well that was my case, anyway. I'd previously heard talk of how insane Livid Dead Land was in terms of difficulty but when I reached it myself, I was... not underwhelmed, that's not the word but rather,... I noticed. That said, I think it's one of the best levels in the game,if not the best. The music, the backgrounds, the awesome makes-you-feel-badass gameplay. It all worked really well for me, and I'm sure you'll find it to be a kick, if you don't find it to be unforgivably frustrating, of course.

So far only Moody Clouds has made me frustrated.Invisiblepulse wrote:Hmm, consider that you might find the Land of the Livid Dead to be easier than you may think, after all if you do make it to that point you will have completed all of the tricky treasures (and therefore mastered the jumping controls) and said Livid Dead Land is not really that much of a jump in difficulty (imo), both compared to the last few tricky treasures and the harder sections of Moody Clouds. Re: Rayman Origins
I beat the game! The Final Tricky Treasure was really hard but got it eventually. The Land of Livid Dead was hard with Rayman 1 style difficulty. The boss was a bit tricky but I beat it. I died in the credits which was amusing. The game has taken me nine months to beat since I got it for christmas.

Consider yourself lucky, I long for the days where I would take my time in the beating of games and didn't have as much skill as I do now, I 100%-ed RO within a month.

I don't normally take very long to 100% games. I 100% Crash 2 in a few weeks. RO just took me a long time due to it being a long game.Master4lyf1 wrote:Consider yourself lucky, I long for the days where I would take my time in the beating of games and didn't have as much skill as I do now, I 100%-ed RO within a month.

And consider myself lucky I shall.
Re: Rayman Origins
I took around 3 weeks to beat Rayman Origins 100% for the first time, but I think if I wasn't so busy with school at the time, I would have taken much less time.

Re: Rayman Origins
I purposefully stretched out my gameplay of RO to limit myself to a max of three levels per day - that way I'd enjoy it more, I thought.
Especially the first part of the LotLD got me; before getting used to how mean that level is - do something a split second off the required timing and you die - I had to go through a lot of repetitive deaths. The music kept me entertained though, but I do recall calling the grandmas names. ^^'
As soon as the snake sequence started and I got used to the level's difficulty scale, I could do it quite easily. Did anyone else experience this? Also, I noticed in the snake sequence that the level seemed to be designed to coincide with the music; if you time all your actions exactly right - make one mistake and you destroy the effect - then the music coincides perfectly with what you see on screen. Maybe that's what inspired the LotLD part of Legends.
The lava was something else to get used to... pfft. It wasn't all that hard in the end, but it did try me when I found out that you not only have to avoid hitting it, but you should also drop down fast enough to not get caught by one of the dark tentacles. Big Mama wasn't hard, but again more of the precision. I was running around in circles far more often than I should have required, had I been paying more attention to the subtle hints that clue you on how to attack her exactly right.
Overall, I loved it, every single bit. Even though I got really frustrated at times, it was worth it.

Re: Rayman Origins
I think Ubisoft should have included more Land of the Livid Dead levels. Before these kind of levels would be bought with Lums, but the final version only gave a free one.
The conclusion I can arrive after beating the Land of the Livid Dead four times, is that after you knowing its structure, you can beat it in 10 minutes.

Same could be said for most of the levels.Haruka wrote: after you knowing its structure, you can beat it in 10 minutes.
Re: Rayman Origins
Indeed.
Oh well, it is only "challenging" in the beginning.
